I don't know the number of batches that would be before next year but i know firs is treating those "lists" in certain order. Based on the information i have most people will resume 2nd week of january. That is why the reference is to their collecting salary in february. Note that the replacement is still ongoing but much more difficult now. A friend has paid for it for over 2months now (Officer 1) but yet to make any headway. Let us just keep hope alive and be positive. Nothing is won or lost yet. If God has destined it for you, you will surely get it. Nothing is on merit now in Nigeria (I believe you must have read the latest on Civil Defence recruitment).

N.B: I will appreciate if people refer to me simply as Yasir; no "Mr" or "Malam". I am just like anybody without claiming to have superior knowledge, information or connection. Let everything flow without man-made barriers.

The House of Representatives yesterday approved N126.414 billion as the 2016 budget for the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). This comprises of N484.7 billion and the projected four per cent cost of non-oil revenue is N143.904 billion.

From the approved budget, 55 billion is for personnel costs, while 40,693 billion is for overhead costs and 30,721 billion is for capital expenditure. Details of the approved budget as presented by the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance, Hon. Babangida Ibrahim, show that under personnel costs, salary and wages would gulp N32,885,370,758 billion, allowances was allocated N22,114,629,242 billion, while travels and transport was allocated N3,800,000,000 billion and utilities N1,450,000,000 billion.

If there will be something like that, Why not, that will be a different recruitment exercise entirely. Except the person is already employed prior to that time.

Let's put our trust in God and hope for the best. The best bet is to maintain an open mind. Some people will still get without knowing anybody. The new advert has nothing to do with the present one and will not affect it in any way. That is what i heard from 2 different sources; the first time i heard it was even around October. Lets spread our tentacles to other areas and seek God's favour.
