miteolu:7 hrs at a stretch? Dt is too much nd even not safe! The standard is 4/10/15 meaning: you should not drive for more than 10 hrs in a day. you should not drive for more than 4hrs at a stretch. You should have atleast 15 minutes rest after every 4hrs of driving. 2 Likes |

My Driving strength depends on the car I am using, so for longer journey a V8 (8 cylinder) car is ok. And note this if you are going on a high way dont wear tight belt, tight sucks, tight jeans (pencil mouth). Face cap, or tight t shirt so that blood can flow through ur brain well and don't eat b4 u embark on any long journey cos u would be tired in 3 hours time and |

After seeing most of the comments on this thread, i am beginning to have an idea why people die like chickens on roads in Nigeria. I have said this in the past; The fact that you own a POV or have a drivers licence does not mean you can operate it. 1. Before going on long journeys, ensure you've have eight hours of uninterrupted sleep. 2. Never drive more that four hours without at least a rest stop of 45 minutes in between. 3. Never drive long distances with the interior cold. It is better to have AC on heat to prevent you from falling asleep. 4. Never drive long distances without a co driver. This ensures you switch out when and if you start to feel drowsy. 5. Avoid taking medications that might make you drowsy before going on long journeys. 6. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated before and during your journey. This also ensures you take rest stops in order to pee. You are welcome. 1 Like |

Babake69: jayloms: We are the cause of our problems. Most of these stations lift products with NNPC tankers but dispense above pump price. The greed is just too much Gazzuz had a similar experience some weeks ago, though he has modified the thread. There was a picture of an NNPC tanker discharging products at the station that day. Some even deliver the products at night (1am - 3 am) . Early one morning (~7am, last week) I saw an NNPC tanker stuck in a gutter while trying to offload products at a filling station (so much for hiding to discharge products). This station has never sold fuel at control price. I refused to take a picture because it wouldn't change anything. PMS can be sold far below N220/L today, but we would not let it happen Sorry for derailing the thread. I couldn't ignore the posts |
