The purpose of the summit is to mainstream Culture and Tourism as an important and integral part of the economic development strategies of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to salvage the economic woes of Nigeria.

Speaking at the close of the summit, Minister Lai Mohammed said;

“All the materials, papers presented in the course of the summit will be submitted to a committee that would look into them and see how the ideas can be harnessed. The committee will be given four weeks to take these literatures and see how we can make the recommendations implementable. After that, we will call a meeting with stakeholders from tourism, culture, entertainment and others to strategise how those ideas can be implemented,”

So Lair Moohammed wants to form committee too? I thought it was a crime with the way they criticized GEJ's committee system of Govt.

APC is just a party of hypocrites and cluelessness,for about a year now they have done nothing other than replicate what PDP did of which they criticized...a good example is the fuel subsidy issue and now they want to be forming committee..

Tourism is a big business that we need to lay more emphasise on.
