MirabelArode:
The good thing about this whole current political situation in nigeria is that the saboteurs are revealing themselves without anyone pushing them.

When people say Igbos can sell their brothers for money and power, they are talking about men like Dave Umahi, Rochas etc. Unfortunately there is now a price for being a saboteur in the East. Ask Rochas why his Blood pressure has shot up since Radio Biafra became popular. He no longer talks much later.

If any life is lost in Ebonyi to fulani herdsmen, DAVE UMAHI SENT THE HERDSMEN TO KILL THEM. Simple!

Do you now see why I told you initially that Yoruba is not our problem?

Can you see for yourself?

i think d governor is being wise and smart. Many of us have been so carried away with emotion and sentiment to d extent that we fail to reason.

Herdsmen are Nigerians. They have d right to live anywhere and do business anywhere in Nigeria legally with law and order.

Driving them away can lead to tribal tension and retaliation. Even d cows they rear we eat it too.

I think we should leave emotion aside, and look 4 a smart solution that will be a win win solution.

Just as Umahi the Governor of Ebonyi State is a Muslim from Kano in North west Nigeria!!!
dude! this people also rob on highway.. am a living withiness ..

What an irony! Alu! Alu! Alu! Somebody should tell me the man was misquoted. Hypocrisy of the highest order. Maybe Dave Onyifulani is a joint owner with the herdsmen. Anti people governor, your days are numbered in Ebonyi politics.

I think this has a bit of sense. Everyone shouldn't be thinking of fighting the herdsmen. We should try to find ways to make peace reign. Most of those herdsmen, if not all, are stark illiterates, its useless fighting them.

You don't make peace with those with guns while you don't have guns.
One way or the other, misunderstandings will occur and guess who will die...

Activa:
This governor wants to create grazing routes for Fulani herdsmen.

Has he thought through it? Will he pay compensation to those he will acquire the routes from?
Of course he would, it is similar to paying people when you want to expand or dualize a road, or if a railtrack or power line will pass through a place. negotiation is done and people are paid.

What will the state benefit as a result of this investment (grazing routes) in cattle farming?
Employment and land use charge, tax and other dues which were previously not collected from herdsmen.

How is he supporting other farmers? What's good for cattle farmers is good for other farmers.
Other farmers have land. If they don't, they should buy. The land for grazing will belong to the government(governmnt property) not for herdsmen.

Will grazing routes stop violence? What's the essence of having grazing routes only in Ebonyi?
It will drastically minimise it. they say where there is no law, there is no sin. It will become illegal for herdsmen to graze on the streets, roads and highways or to trespass outside their grazing area.

I wonder why Nigerians have never heard of the word "HAY". Google it. It is so easy to grow and is what normal countries feed their cattle. Nigeria is amazing.

Truthful and thoughtful. But he'd now be ostracised by his brother and they'd call him a slave like they call anyone else who dares to look them in the face and tell them the truth.

The crime of a few should never be reason to condemn all for that, my friends, is one of the potent ingredients agents of destabilisation employ to promote genocide and chaos.

Edit:

Look at the comments so far, just as expected. He is now "crazy", "mad", and a "weed smoker".

Smh.

We always wonder how Rwanda genocide started, like play like play we are heading in that direction without knowing.

Ask all those calling the Governor names what they think would solve the problem, not a single answer.

I would suggest no cattle should be brought down south alive, it's better slaughtered, packaged and brought in cold storage, because after all the hate speech, we would still buy and use beef in our cooking.

We have, in the context of "making hay will the sun shines", not planting hay to feed our animals. grin grin

BTW there was news making the rounds that Nigeria Wants to import grass (hay) to feed the cattle, was it for planting or straight up consumption?

Ranching will solve the problem cattle should be kept in ranches. improve breed should be imported and crossed with local breed. research institute should be made to work on fast growing crops that can be cultivated and used in feeding animals.

[size=28pt]the igbos are from the cameroon.

Azikiwe was the leader of National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons
Democratic Party of Nigeria and the Cameroons lead by Toby_Ezedonmi

some part went back to cameroon in 1961. the igbo immigrate did not go back to cameroon. and tried to leave with the land, in 1967/ that why during biafra war, they ask any igbo man who want to leave to cross back to cameroon.

if you want biafra , you are going to cross over to live in cameroon.

when zik presented this man to the queen of england. because igbos have no king. that why igbos say, we have no king. because they immigrated from cameroon.
While the fulani/hausa immigrate from Niger republic into Nigeria.
same problem in Ghana with fulani/hausa. they have cows and immigrate with it.

You have mexican immigrate to the USA. and live in new mexico

People looking for the break up of nigeria are not smart.
