Reading through the budget you come accross N2.5B for victims of Post elections violence in 2011. This invokes mix feelings in me while one part of me is joyed that those who suffered the unacceptable violence are being take care of another part of me is disturb that even after 5 years the victims are still being compensated. A compensation that should have been done within 1 year of of the violence.

I know people personally who suffered huge loss only surviving with the clothes on their backs.

Thus once again GEJ showed at a time of high oil prices he couldn't even spare something for people who likely supported him and blindly still do. Jonathan only remembered this people when he was looking for their votes in 2015 yet he still failed to pay them their dues. My prayer and hope is this compensation is paid immediately and to those rightly deserving it.
