Battle over who takes over from the incumbent clerk to the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasuwa, appears to be getting out of hand as the Chairman of National Assembly Service Commission, Adamu Fika, has confronted the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on why the appointment of Mohammed Sani-Omolori cannot be reversed.

Saraki had, in a letter last week, asked the Chairman of National Assembly Service Commission to reverse the appointment of Sani-Omolori as the acting clerk of National Assembly.

The National assembly service commission is the only body that has the power to appoint the clerk of the national assembly. Why is Saraki dragging this unnecessarily with the commission? What is his interest in who become or doesn't become the clerk of the assembly? He should go and face his ongoing trial and leave the new clerk to do his job.

No mind me jare. The guy is just fighting a lost battle on all front. So, he expected the government to appoint another person that will be his boy boy as clerk? The guy never know anything. He's now surrounded on all front, no hiding place for him again.

Saraki is very much concerned with this because he is the Chairman of the National Assembly. Also, report has it that it was a unilateral decision by the Chairman of the Commission without the vote of all 12 Commissioners,which usually is not done. #dueprocess
