The Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, on Tuesday said the Federal Government has paid the N48.2 billion outstanding subsidy arrears owed oil marketers in 2015.

This is contained in a statement by the ministry’s Director of Information, Mr Salisu Dambatta, in Abuja on Tuesday.

The statement said the payment was made recently to enable the oil marketers to import petroleum products and meet up their other financial needs.

“The gross total outstanding subsidy claims accruable to the oil marketers for 2015 stood at N48.2 billion, while deductable tax liabilities payable to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) stood at N5.2 billion only. “

It also said that the minister directed the Debt Management Office (DMO) to pay the claims less tax liability of N5.2 billion, which was computed by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

It said that oil marketers without tax liabilities were paid in full, while oil marketers with net subsidy claims and FIRS liabilities were paid net claim after deduction of tax liabilities.

“Oil marketers that were indebted to FIRS and the seven oil marketers that are indebted to the Asset Management Company (AMCON) were not paid until they settled their debts with the two agencies. “

Alright. So money's begun to circulate ba

I still dont see any reason why nigerian citizens has to still be subdued in abject poverty - with the amounts of millions of niaras seen on dailies everyday. OH Nigerians are suffering and its not even funny at all.

The situation's completely distasteful.

"Federal Government has paid the N48.2 billion outstanding subsidy arrears owed oil marketers in 2015' .

PMB, please do not stop to clear the mess left behind by the Ineffectual Buffon and his gang who had put Nigerians into trouble despite the fact that they recorded the highest PMS price in Nigeria's history.

God bless Kemi Adeosun: God bless PMB: God bless Nigeria.

Only the wicked in heart, and the useless tribalistic bigots, plus the unrepentant mentally deluded wailers will pretend like the economy today is not as a result of the dwindling oil price, and the ineffectual rulling, and endemic corruption by the ineffectual buffon.

Baba clearing PDP's mess since 1900.!!!!
