klax:The only reason why there is very bad power supply in the country today is because people like yourself who hate the government so much go out everyday into the forest to blow up gas pipelines supplying gas to power stations. It is a vicious cycle which just proves a fact that Nigeria and indeed the black man is cursed. Every single time there is a major power drop, it is because some devils for purely political reasons, go out to bomb gas pipelines. Just Yesterday, an Agip gas pipeline was bombed again after being fixed, less than 2 months ago, the escravos gas pipeline was bombed; this isn't even the work of NDA (who have mainly been bombing oil lines), this is purely the act of political foot soldiers and generator cabals. 2 Likes |

Honestly, I'm sick and tired of this power dropping from 3,000 to 1,400 MW everyday. Can't we go beyond 5,000 MW? At least give us good news that power has risen from 1,400 to 8,000mw or more for once, Haba! |

idupaul:Nigerian should not pay for Darkness. They keep bringing the bills because some people are foolish enough to pay. The very reason why Discos don't want to install Prepaid meters is to make people pay for darkness. |

We have been in darkness here for over three years. Neighboring communities have been in it for over 20 months. I don't understand the darkness Op is talking about. Or do you want me to join the ongoing strike because of hike in electricity tariff?. I can only join because of hike in pump price of petrol. |

Hengineer: Why should Buhari spend billions to transport gas to the north when it could be processed in its production site? The northerners are the ones stirring the deltans. Also why should he remove fuel subsidy who he vehemently stood against in the past govt. Now he removes it so that he can put half of the 8 billions dollars post-subsidy into his account yearly? |
Re: Nationwide Darkness Looms As Electricity Supply Drops To 1,400MW by Hengineer: 12:16am On May 19, 2016 |
mrZENographer:Stop being unnecessary paranoid, shallow in reasoning and ignorant. Firstly, there is no pipeline transporting gas to the north, there are no gas power plants in the north and nobody is spending billions to transport gas to the north. And even if there is a pipeline transporting gas to the north, it will be for industries, industries which will actually pay for the gas they use. Presently, Nigeria still burns away most of the gas it produces as waste because we do not have the pipelines infrastructure to take the gas to places where it can be used. I dont understand the basis behind this needless and senseless north-south paranoia and hatred most people have these days courtesy of people like nnamdi kanu and co. It's a shame that most people can no longer use their intellects anymore to think positively and productively without having to resort to this paranoia and hate. |
