Niger Delta Avengers on on its tweeter handle at about 8:10AM, this morning, said: “At 11:45PM on Thursday, @Niger Delta Avengers blew up another NNPC Gas and Crude trunkline close to Warri. Pipeline that was heavily guarded by the military.”

In an earlier tweet on Friday, it described the Niger Delta stakeholders meeting held on Wednesday at Abuja as an insult to the people of the Niger Delta region. The tweet read, “The Niger Delta stakeholders meeting is an insult to the people of the Niger Delta. What we need is a sovereign state, not pipeline contracts.

“To the International Oil Companies, IOCs and the Nigeria military, watch out, something big is about to happen and it would shock the whole world,”‎ it added. As at the time of this report, attempts to speak with the NNPC spokesperson, Garuba Mohammad was fruitless while security sources in the area were yet to make confirmation on the alleged attack.

This is part of incompetency in Nigerian army, how can these lazy men in uniform fails to curtains the evils activities of these NDA. I strongly recommend Federal government to reshuffle the military and equip them with air force surveillance mechanical birds. It is clear that NDA is not fighting for the interest of the Niger deltas but their trying to defend the loots of some raiders in the region.

The problem with Nigeria/Nigerians/ our government is we are very stubborn to the point of lunacy, and sure know how to exacerbate a small issue. The above statement by these militants show they are serious and planning something disastrous. They had tendered their conditions over a month ago , conditions that are very reasonable if you have conscience. Yet you(our government) went and assembled opportunistic militants and elders induced them with pipeline contract and cash, further insulting if not infuriating the main militants behind these threats and pipeline sabotage.

The great mistake of this government was arresting Nnamdi Kanu. He has emboldened these bred of new militants of what genuine freedom fighting is...freedom or death. No amount of money can buy them.
