I can help but agree with PDP on this, what we have witnessed within the past one year has been no thing but a cataclysmic down ward turn of events, quite unprecedented in the annals of this great country.

Buhari will be vindicated in the long run. To rebuild a destroyed house is not easy. As for the consolidation of banks it was one of the best decisions in Nigerian banking history.

A reminder for the chameleon PDP who are quick to have forgotten how things were.

LAGOS – Over 1 ,000 staffs of Diamond Banks Plc have
been relieved of their duties at the financial institution as
a result of the economic downturn in the country , coupled
with the difficult regulatory climate , seems to be taking its
toll on the financial sector .
The Nigerian Observer in its findings revealed that the
latest disengagement by the bank had to do with the need
to realign its operations for a tougher 2015, especially as
the monetary policy environment continues to get tighter .
Some of the regulatory measures introduced by the
Central Bank of Nigeria aimed at protecting the economy ,
according to findings , have started affecting the banks ’
profitability.

Nonsense consolidation was done to sanitize the system and it created wealth, billionaires and gave Nigerian banks pan African presence and even international


Banks are listed in London Stock Exchange etc. Sure there were casualties but the net result was of economic benefits

Not the change we are seeing today. Banks report in naira but think in dollars so since buhari has increased cost of dollars by over 60%, banks have to spend like thrice as much on human capital costs and other costs

Multinationals leaving, workers being sacked daily, inflation rate growing higher, forex increasing daily, prices of commodities sky rocketing, Fulani herdsmen killings increasing, Boko Haram still active, electricity bill increasing yet darkness in most places, fuel hike, tomatoes scarcity, haba which way Nigeria?

A man steals and invests, money goes round.

Another recieves money and keeps it nothing happens.

That is the situation which we are facing. The present government are not creating wealth by investing in the youths, helping small business by well thought out policies.

They are acting as if everyone receives salary from the government. Youwin and sure-p helped spread wealth.

When you scrap these programs, discourage any business that has to do with foreign exchange, increase tariff in power without any increase (instead reduction) in the power delivered, increase price of fuel, in fact leaving the citizens confused as to the direction of your economic policy. You will have massive layoff of workers, and inflation
