After failing to name treasury looters on Democracy day as earlier promised, President Muhammadu Buhari has now directed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to make public details of stolen / recovered loots. According to presidential aide, Garba Shehu in a Facebook post, he said “records will be obtained from the CBN and the investigation agencies regarding recovery and seizures, and actual status with regard to frozen sums in banks and assets held wherever they are.” READ ALSO: Corruption: FG strikes harder, read what this government just did He further added: “Going forward, he has asked them to update the information periodically. The minister should be ready with this when work resumes, possibly Wednesday or Thursday.” It would be noted that the National Prosecution Coordination Committee was inaugurated by the Buhari administration on Friday, May 27, 2016. The president emphasised that he does not interfere with operations of the EFCC, noted that all the anti-corruption agencies of the country operate independently from him.
