Guys benefit more from frendzoning, just that many of them are too dumb to realize it.
Smart guys have a rule similar to the federal government rule of no work no pay, and that is no sex no money.
So imagine a guy who's friends with a very hot chick, can take her out whenever he likes, to show off, and since he's not getting any thing from her he's under no obligations what so ever to pay her rent, her brothers fees, or even buy her anything. Only if and when he wants to. And he can always get sex (the only thing she brings into the relationship) from somewhere else.
