I know this because when I was facing a situation similar to this I and some others went to report the case at the ministry of education and inform them about the challenge we were facing when the news got to back to the institution, they became furious and even added more money to the "theft" and even delayed our certificates for months after

Igbo VC's and corruption are like Amala and ewedu soup. They're just inseparable. While I was in one of those eastern schools, fees were always increased every year till I graduated. I wonder who'd checkmate their activities cos our government is even worse.

I must say that the Current Vice Chancellor of Abia State University is a Distinguished man of Valor.A man that has brought back light in absu.
For your information,all unauthorized fees which students were forced to pay during clearance and other academic related activities have been abolished. To ensure effective implementation, he gave out his personal phone contact to all student leaders ranging from course representatives to the apex leadership of the students to enable them report directly any cases of molestation, exploitation and extortion by staff.
The story of Abia State university has changed for good since the inception Prof Ikonne as Vice chancellor.

I refuse to believe this article for the simple reason that the information is based on a hearsay. it started by talking about a sibling who is frustrated and entered up making an all inclusive claims.
If your motive is pure, i think you should have utilized the right channel in petitioning the V.C rather than trying to utilize a means that cannot give the man a fair chance to defend himself.
i also doubt this information or blackmail on the ground that i have a basic knowledge of who this V.C is from the time he was still an ordinary lecturer till he became the H.O.D of his department and even the DVC of the school and no such information/allegation ever came up.
I can understand your frustration of waiting for your Certificate to be signed but have you forgotten that there are bureaucratic channels in the university system.
If the V.C is yet to sign your certificate, try to get your facts right before painting him black before the eyes of the gullible public.
Yes, Abia State University was my school and i didn't just pass through it, the school passed through me so i know what am saying.

Such thing cant happen in federal university like Umudike. I applied for my original certificate and got it that same day.great umudyk.organised school.
