There is something called wear and tear mechanically, it also applies to human being but biologically.

When you and you spouse proceed to having sex regularly and eventually birth a child, The drive for sex dies because sex would automatically be given a new definition in the marriage known as procreation which was previously perceived to be pleasure gratification before child birth.

Another reason is responsibility(ies) creeps in both on the father's part and the mother's part so they mostly bother about fulfilling their gender roles than constant sex. Those are the reasons.

Because she has more important things to do than think about sex, which is taking good care of her child

I thought its even the men that lose appetite for sex immediately their wife give birth, cos @this point most women become shapeless, growing fat and etc.

The responsibility of taking care of the child and so much sleepless nights. Sex is the last thing on any nursing mothers mind.

1.frequent sleepless nights. With that sex is the last thing on her mind.
2.caring for the baby during the day.
3.caring for the Hubby.(washing of clothes,plates,making breakfast, lunch and dinner),although not all cases.
4.loss of self esteem due to postnatal body...its so shapeless and annoying.
5.maybe she's just not in the mood.

After i had my first child,i enjoyed sex like never before has my hubby tried new thing moving faster while doing the deed.The whole thing is different after my second son.i'm less n less interested about sex,google says breastfeeding could cause less sexual urge,though i breastfed my first child but he wasn't has demanding as the second.There are many reasons that could add up may be stress.i drop my pen ....
