Thanks for the detailed info. Glad the contractor has been forced back to site, one can only imagine the number of such projects that had been awarded and the contractor absconding. If we as a people can time line projects, situation such as this will be minimized.

The contract was actually timed at 18 months. there was a section of the road that was also awarded to Sermatech a company said to be own by thee former Governor of the state...both contracts were awarded the same day, with mobilisation fee paid to the contractors. Sermatech went on site the next week after the both presidential election.


for me, I don't think it's enough that they have mobilised to site, their should be a mechanism of comparing what are doing with funds collected.

The super highway is Ayade's conceived pet project....a scam to use one of His proxies to lick up the little resources of the state or leave the state in perpetual debt to banks. This other ongoing Calabar -Ogoja scam is a federal project. Give them a few weeks and they'd abandon site because somebody has paid out huge sums into some politician's account.

By the way, Ogoja Calabar road is one of the worst in the country especially the Ikom- Ogoja axis in recent years..yet Ogoja is one of the oldest provinces that a state has not been created from....we dey look.
