siddoggg: Drunkard, I have disgraced you. Militant, when will you bomb the next pipeline? You sit at home gulping alcohol while the women in your family fend for you. You also claimed to be an architect in the screenshot I uploaded but you're a fraudster. No-one quoted your post there and made enquires. Shameless lazy, sun-scorched flabby-bellied lowlifer. 6 Likes |

chalsixtus: The SidDOGgg boy turned out to be a militia who lives in clay. A thief who's constantly shot at by the Nigerian Army. His only hope of feeding is wielding machetes on street corners to steal phones and kidnapping goat for a #2,300 ransom. 3 Likes |

titsqueez: Ask the OP of this thread (who is now a friendly acquaintance), the day he subtly insulted Akwaibomites in July, 2015, I personally took him and his tribesmen to the cleaners and most begged for mercy. The OP knows my main moniker. SidDOGgg earned his manhood by stealing a hen from a police barracks in a weird ritual. He got slashed beneath his eyes by jutting barbwires as he was chased by police dogs. 1 Like |

Very nice people and they are neat as well. Served there, and we were treated in the most friendly manner even though I served in a Local Government Akwa Ibom people were scared of. |

I works there as a site engineer, level of poverty so much that just roasted plantain and chicken can get their girls to bed. The elites rides on d illiterates, they see Lagos like heaven, 50% of them are myopic, have never been outside of d state, roads are good really, but what's d size of d capital? U can finish all road projects.. within an hour u can tour uyo.. they are not exposed, their men very lazy, arrogant. Anyone from Lagos (yorubas) are like gods to thier girls,if U con get car, jeep. Dia best estate is just like bodija estate in ibadan,no private tv.. silverbird cinema Na like heaven to them. If u have keke for commercial u b big boy,can date enough girls, a 30 yr old guy can still be an undergraduate, mapoly abeokuta better pass uni uyo. My first time in market ,de asked are u a corper.. majority doesn't expect strangers, except corpers..most businesses are runned by igbos, they are lazy. Akpabio Na like demi god..road from Abia Na death trap.. ask corpers.....the state is far behind...... 1 Share

Op, Abasi odion fin. My love for Akwa ibom and Akwa ibomites is unexplainable. My service year experience at Iffe Town, Mkpat Enin LGA is like a decade. The beautiful memories will forever linger on. I already have plans to pay a visit before this year runs out. The people are simply awesome, the food and most importantly my students. One thing I dislike about most Akwa ibomites generally is their attitude to work and education. It's like they're being forced to learn. On the whole, Akwa ibom is a dream city. I'd love to marry from that state save for thier marriage expenses. Kilode! God bless Akwa Ibom. Mme ima fin eti eti. 2 Likes |

Quite a balanced article. However, the state lacks activities in the real sector. Not much of industrial activity going on. I wonder why Udom and Co haven't used the safety of the state to attract investments. Apart from Julius Berger and ExxonMobil, which other MNC has footing in Akwa Ibom? Additionally, the cities mentioned are cities by Nigerian standards. Ikot Ekpene is more of an advanced town. Another issue is the fact that roads constructed lack pedestrian tracks as opposed to Cross River state. Language intonation? Only illiterates speak in such manner, however, there seem to be differences between someone born and bred in Akwa Ibom as opposed to an indigene bred in another state. Most lack simple work ethic. Safety wise, Akwa Ibom is the safest state in the East of the Niger. Udom should utilize this to increase FDI into the state. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Re: 12 Interesting Facts About Akwa Ibom State by Gerrard59(m): 5:09pm On Jul 07, 2016 |
nkemdi89: Mostly politically motivated. Cultism isn't high in its institutions as compared to say Rivers or even Cross River. Ditto for kidnapping, politics is behind the majority; which is unfortunate. caracas: I don't know about Eket or Ikot Ekpene, however, lands in Uyo depends on location and how deep your pocket is. Land(s) in the city center shouldn't go beyond 10 million (I'm poor at land measurement). Where you can get land between 2-7 million will be in the outskirts (about an hour from Plaza), places like Etoi which has under it Ifa Atai, Ifa Ikot Akpan, Mbak Etoi and a host of "Ifas" and "Etois". Wherever you want to buy, ensure you see the clan heads to ascertain rightful owners. Akwa Ibomites are Nigerians, anything can happen. |
