and it grows like weeds.

Re: All About The Au Natural! by Gamine(f): 6:54pm On Sep 22, 2009
Your hair texture is like mine,

Is it possible to unlock it? and have the same length?
Re: All About The Au Natural! by africhika(f): 6:59pm On Sep 22, 2009
yes! lots of ladies have unlocked their sls. they just keep conditioning it for days until the locks unravel. you really don't HAVE to cut off anything. but, i may do that if i get bored with SLs. right now, it's my best hair decision ever. my texture is really soft with baby curls at the end. yeah, gamine i think we do have similar tresses.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE ARE NO GUYS ON THIS THREAD! NO NATURAL GUYS ON NL AT ALL!! what a bummer   tongue
Re: All About The Au Natural! by Gamine(f): 7:06pm On Sep 22, 2009

Re: All About The Au Natural! by Gamine(f): 8:22pm On Sep 22, 2009
Well Africhika is already on locks

me, im still not sure.
Re: All About The Au Natural! by africhika(f): 8:52pm On Sep 22, 2009
gamine, my younger sister HATESSSSSSSSSS locks but thinks she can deal with SLs. she's thinking about growing SLs (she's a permie) and taking them out after they grow long, so she can can go back to perming it. yeah, i know, she's funny.

Re: All About The Au Natural! by africhika(f): 5:30am On Sep 23, 2009
aw, thanks!!! there's so many styling options to.

my family is still "getting used to it."
it's funny, my permed sisters will come home with their hair all touched up and my mom's like,
"your hair is great!" to each one of them.

she'll look at my hair and ask, "so, chika, how is school?"

Well it's different for me. My sisters love my hair. They wish their hair grew like mine. tongue The most important thing to us is to have a good style the fits your head. Whether permed or natural if you come back with a nonsense style, get ready to be tongue lashed. tongue Most of the time I'm on braids, that fits my schedule very well but for the past three weeks I've been rocking a small afro, I had to straighten it out though for easier combing. tongue
Re: All About The Au Natural! by Gamine(f): 8:47pm On Sep 26, 2009
Thanks @oyinda

@africhika, its a hair band

@stillwater, well they are indeed coming to terms with it sha,
i have my hair in braids now, after rocking my hair for about 3weeks
its all good, as long as one has healthy hair.
