Today, it seems what we all grew up to know as romantic relationship between members of the opposite sex, that's fueled by genuine passion, is slowly dying away. In fact, what some of us experienced as 'puppy love' during our secondary school days stands a better chance to be called a relationship compared to what many young people go into in these present times.

These days, most people go into relationships with various selfish motives! Today, the mindset of the average guy out there is just to bleep every single girl he is able to lay his hands on as soon as the slightest opportunity turns up!!! He wouldn't even give a hoot about the personal qualities of the girl. In fact, if they could go to somewhere nearby to have sex immediately after the exchange of names and phone contacts, he would appreciate it. Sex is now totally overrated!!! If you meet a girl as a guy and you have not made love to her within the first week of knowing her, there's this self-consciousness in you that tells you that you are messing up! Even your friends will tell you that you are effing up!!! This makes relationship so useless and irrelevant! Now, if the motive of having an affair with a girl is just to make love as soon as possible, why not patronize prostitutes and save yourself the stress?

The young girls are not left out! Most of these girls see it as a very big opportunity to place their burdens on your head as soon as you ask for their phone contact! It's the attitude of girls that behave this way that necessitated a situation where guys try as much as possible to sleep with any girl they meet as soon as possible; according to them, they wouldn't want to lose on 'both sides'. As the days go by, relationship is getting empty. This is the reason why many relationships among young people (especially, from 20yrs to 28yrs) don't last. REASON: They involve sex and materialism even before they get to study their individual characters or traits! You need to be friends first!

To the young girls: No sane man will respect you when you place your personal problems on him as soon as he exchanges phone contacts with you; if you do that, his next step will be to sleep with you!!! That's what happens when the rice is still on the stove and you have already started looking for spoon!

Relationships today are truly a waste of time.

Interesting piece. Today's relationship is a waste of time, resources and energy for most guys who aren't ready to settle down within a year or two. You only end up wasting resources you could have channelled into something meaningful and productive in your life. I think if a guy isn't ready to settle down in 2years, relationship ain't an ideal deal to embark on. There's no win but lose-lose situation for such guys.

Sex can never be an equal decibel or serve as a concurrent factor with money. And the amount of money usually expended in relationship doesn't worth the 5mins sex were guys are also the ones on the bunco end, coz they are the ones who lose energy and strength in the process.

Like you said, if sex is the motive and the main source of gratification to guys in a relationship, why not employ the services of call girls? Saves one the stress, drama and resources. But even at that experience players and shrewd guys don't have to use call girls to relieve conji neither do they spend, they can attract pussay through inveigling and craftiness.
