The Indian Multi-Role Helicopter (IMRH)

the platform will have an all-up weight of 13 metric tons, a maximum speed of 275-km/h and a service ceiling of 22,000 ft. The Indian military wants the helicopter to have a payload capacity of 3,500-kg and range of 500-km at sea level. The IMRH platform is to sport a five-blade composite main rotor with a four-bladed composite tail rotor, twin turboshaft engines with dual full authority digital engine controls. The powerplants would be required to have a 30-minute dry-run capable transmission system. All IMRHs will have glass cockpits — using equipment from Halbit Systems, DARE and Samtel.

Officially the IMRH mission spectrum includes troop movement, high-altitude air maintenance, offshore operations, heliborne and amphibious assault operations, anti-submarine warfare and anti-surface warfare.

An armed gunship version is also expected to be concurrently developed. Other proposed variants include civil transport, VVIP transport, and air-ambulance.

The MK1A doesn't have an eternal EW system?

no, ran out of internal space

so the advanced EW suite consisting of the unified electronic warfare suite (UEWS) and an inbuilt jammer will be carried externally in a pod.

the advanced EW suite is a joint development programme between DRDO and MoD, Israel. The suite is built around state-of-the-art Unified Electronic Warfare System (UEWS)—An EW system consisting of a Unified Receiver Exciter Processor (UREP) with advanced digital receiver/Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) concepts integrated with Microwave Power Module (MPM)-based transmitter for LCA.

in short we have a SPJ+ pod grin

also the pod will not use up any of the weapons pylon .it will be mounted same as the litening pod but on the opposite side or it will be dual carried on any of the weapon pylons together with the missile/bombs etc

BEL's Transportable Comms Suite for ALGs (advance landing grounds).

AGLs have just runways with no radar and comms facility . it is a thread bare forward operational base which r non active during peace time.

so any zero forward bare minimum operating airfield with no comms facility can use these transportable comms suite to upgrade its facilities inorder to support fighters helicopters ops etc in bare minimum time

Yes, I appreciate them as a piece of engineering. I love engineering with passion so I get provoked when someone calls something junk without a great proof to backup his or her claim.

Keep the good work but don't forget to tell mogidi to transfer some of those hardware as val gift to Nigeria grin
