We all know how terrible Abacha was but if you ask most people on this forum and in Nigeria generally, if they had the option to choose a father like Abacha with all his wealth and power, would they decline? Not to talk of a child that did not have a choice, she couldn't choose her parents so she doesn't deserve the ridicule and insults. Nigeria is a fantastically corrupt country and the masses are equally as corrupt as their elected officials.

someone said she is not her father, tar!, she is what she is today because of the money her father stole, so she is the daughter of a thief and should be ashamed of her entire lineage built on the sweat of Nigerians, that guy is a typical example of people from that side, they shout and brag, but when it's time to show some balls, they become cold like ice, coward

Those two - lady and gentleman indeed. The lady has not offended him, so no basis to embarrass her, afterall she's not Gen. Abacha. And the guy acted gentlemanly by apologizing, having realized his mistake. These are the kind of people we should celebrate.

I totally agree with you...

What is he taking off? Is it a lie that all the money the Abacha family still splurges off was stolen from Nigeria? Rabbish!

How does this affect the family of Ken Saro Wiwa?

meanwhile, Abacha govt was way more efficient than what we have today. Food was cheap, and there was security. only rich people who stood in his way were eliminated. Poor Nigerians had nothing to fear.

Under Buhari, food is expensive, you go to bed hungry, and still you sleep with one eye open bc you never know when Buhari's militia a.k.a Fulani Herdsmen, will attack if you sleep deeply.. . . and when you wake up, you remain alert bc you never know when APC militia a.k.a Boko Haram will strike. Even when you travel abroad, business will be harder for you bc Mallam Bubu has already told the world that you are a criminal.

next pls

Abeg it doesn't change the fact that her father was a thief and in saner countries she would be remitting every penny he stole.

Pablo Escobar son till today still sends apologies to family's of those his father wronged.

Not this lousy thing that was born with a silver spoon and doesn't know what poverty will ever be

But the dad was actually one hell of a very corrupt monster, let's be frank with the truth.

Not an issue of shame, guys re not happy...But He did the right thing by tendering apology, it was a disrespect to her after all she got her life to live not her father's... Days re gone when children pay for the sins of their fathers; If my pupsy commit make em pay for his sins.

What on earth is the apology for, in the olden days once a father soils the family name the children shouldn't and cannot talk in the public space because the integrity has been betrayed by their father. In this situation if our Nigeria was running fine with all the loot being recovered still these ones should all be in jail. Yes, because the benefactor of a stolen money is culpable. In the Bible Exodus 34:7 - Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth [generation].

This is how they do after committing terrible offence against the nation they call Allah as thou HE was the one that asked them to loot our treasury.
We as a country should separate sentiments and deal with these guys decisively. The harm the father caused this nation is surely telling on many familes today. When I get into power the first thing I will do is to go and seize all asset of looters and prosecute them. A law will be enacted to allow public execution for convicted treasury looters.

Let merit be the standard for whatever we do and anyone found cheating or defrauding the country would be publicly executed and all their assets confiscated. This is what is needed in this country. How can a dying man with only 20000 in their account become one of the richest man in the world after leaving public office. How can a man without and shoe be ranked amongst the richest men in the world, how can a military president be mentioned as amongst the top ten richest presidents even while in office. These things get me crazy. God please send me up there even if I die in office but enemies of Nigeria will be eliminated first and our money recovered, if they cannot be contented with the pensions they are collecting then we send then away.

I didn't see lady Fatima passing any meaningful information across, I am only seeing someone who doesn't have a full control of English-language saying the usual things the weak says to justify failure.
