I still don't understand the reason why zakzaky is still held in custody, it's amazing that the Nigerian army claims he is a security threat and his followers are you to resort to extreme measures to secure his release......
I was born and brought up in Zaria and to the best of my knowledge the Shia or it's members have not been direcly linked to any religious violence.......

Who killed hundreds of people in 2000 because they wanted to maKe kahuna a Sharia state, not the shia...
Who killed thousands of people after the elections in 2011, not the shia...
The Sunni youths have been murdering people in kahuna state for as long as I can remember and nothing has been done about it....
Zaria would be in flames 2hours after his capture were el zakzaky Sunni....
The massacre of the Shiites in Zaria is one of the greatest genocide in recent times after the Hutu rampage...
The Sunni Muslim's watched and applauded this massacre because they consider the Shiites a threat to their beliefs...
Last week they were even protesting the indictment of some army officers in the massacre.....

I am a Christian and I am obligated to speak the truth at all timeS...

And the Shiites have come again.

Sighs**

While I condemn the loss of any human life, it's sad that Islamic fundamentalists and zealots have been giving free reign to commit acts of impunity in the North and the Zaria Massacre was a sad culmination.

When you put your hands into the mouth of a rabid dog, you have no right to complain when it bites you. Nigeria and Nigerians know that our Army and Policemen are nothing but killers in uniform. Everyday we wake up to read and hear about innocent victims that where killed over meager excuses like N20 at a checkpoint, etc Therefore, when the Shiites decided to block a federal road for which they had no permit to do so and refused to respect the authority and office of the chief of army staff, we all knew the outcome. Zaki Biam, Odi, and other massacres are still fresh in our memories. Did the Shiites think they where anything special ?! Yes, these terrible acts are crimes against humanity but that is the reality that we live in.

In the last 3 months, we have had over a 1000 people killed in the South by Islamic Fulani herdsmen. Have the Shiites or indeed any Islamic organization come out and match actions with their words against these atrocities. From the beating of an Ibo Man for eating during Ramadan in Kaduna to the killings of a lady in Kano by muslim youths etc These and so many other atrocities committed by Muslim youths against Christians in the North is never reported nor do you see massive protests by our people because we want peace to reign.

So Zakzaky and his followers should not expect any sympathy from fellow Nigerians. Fact is, a typical Shiite pledges more loyalty to Iran than their own country. An organization that doesnt recognize Nigerian as an entity and it's laws cannot expect an exception for them when they break those laws.

Ibraheem May God grant you justice here on earth and in Heaven.
Whatever we can do to help this Nigerian save his dad, we need to help.

Being Shiite Muslim is not a crime, it is a conviction and belief that does not carry death sentence.

The appropriate response for slapping a major general is not the brutality exhibited nor the trolls of death that followed in its wake but a professional crowd dispersal technique or even stopping to allow them pass.

This will not make him miss Ja'nnah or reduce him to a lance corporal either but put him in a class of democratic major general that knows he derives his authority from the people and the people is what matters.

Zakzaky is another Boko haram threat that military clear without allowing it to grow. IMN or Shiite never respect constituted authority, even the programme taking place on that same date that the incident occur was carried out without police permission. IMN have their own parallel security apparatus sponsored by Iran to carried out revolution in Nigeria.
Southerners commenting have no knowledge of the hardship this people are subjecting innocence people in the north.
For instance, when Kano state government ban taking any person on a motorcycle, people comply but shiites fails to comply because they are not law abiding. When they are out for their programs, they disrupt traffick, intimidate & harrass people, make inflammatory speech, carry weapons along.
I condemned extra-judicial killings, but shittes have a case to answer they are not civic at all & too arrogant think they are above the law.

PRESS STATEMENT

WE DEMAND THE RELEASE OF SHEIKH ZAKZAKY FOR PROPER MEDICATION

This week, close relations of Sheikh Ibraheem Yaqoub Zakzaky visited him where the Department of State Services (DSS) claimed he was being held in "protective custody" since the 14th day of December 2016.

From the report of the close relations, the health of our leader has deteriorated further. His left eye is in dire need of specialized medical attention. The Doctor assigned to the Sheikh has reportedly given up on getting it back to its normal state. His left arm where he sustained gunshot wounds is still demobilized and the wounds are yet to heal.

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) is deeply concerned about the health of our incarcerated leader and believe that it is in the interest of the Nigerian State and those holding him to release him unconditionally to enable him attend to his heath.

The Nigerian people are aware and the international community is aware that our leader has not been accused of committing any offence and has not been charged for one and has not been arraigned before any competent court of the land for the past eight months.

We firmly believe it was Allah that has spared the life of our revered leader out of his mercy, even though those who wish him dead were averse to it.

However it is the height of injustice to deny the Sheikh the best medical attention taking into consideration all that has been done to him, his family and millions of his followers. Of what benefit will it be to our nation if his health deteriorates beyond salvation?

If at all the claim of the Counsel to the DSS in a Federal High Court in Abuja that the Sheikh is in "protective custody" is to be believed, then attention to his health should be of paramount importance to whoever is holding him hostage.

Even though a glimpse of the report of the Judicial Commission of inquiry submitted to Kaduna state government has indicted the Army for its brutality against the Sheikh and his followers in Zaria, the least expected from the government is his release to us for proper medical attention. Refusal to do just this is an indication that the federal government has some ulterior motives and wants to keep him in custody and allow his health to deteriorate further.

We would like to appeal to those that have the ears of this government, well meaning Nigerians and the international community to insist on the unconditional release of our Leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and all those detained with him in the aftermath of the Zaria carnage last December.

Please can you tell us who did he and his followers kill? Are you deliberately spreading hatred and rumor to cover up for the sectarian army of Buhari? Where and when did Sheikh Zakzaky and his followers hurt anyone? Was it not the same sectarian army of Buratai shouting "no more Shia in Nigeria" when they were stabbing the private parts of innocent women in Zaria? Is this sectarian army any different from ISIS terrorists who kill Shia Muslims in Iraq and Syria? Was Buhari instructed by Wahhabi Saudi Arabia to carry out the Zaria massacre or not? Confess! Those who shout "no more Shia in Nigeria" should know there can be no more army in Nigeria and the Shia will remain. A sectarian army prejudiced against citizens of Nigeria from a particular faith can't stand the test of time nor can they defeat divine promise that victory will eventually belong to the oppressed.

Boko Haram war started by extra judicial killing of YUSUF their leader by police, Biafran war started by mass killing of Easterners in the north, now worst crime against Shiite members and humanity has been committed by Soldiers allegedly killing more than (armless) 1000 people in so called self defense in two days? Can killing someone out of self defense from attacker on the road be extended to his house the following day with more killings?

Was it his father and mother and his three murdered brothers who were blocking the road? Or were they shot and killed in their home in cold blood? It looks like Buratai's paid online mercenaries have invaded the thread to spread falsehood and defend massacre based on false, empty and presumptive premises without any evidence, or facts. Shame!

If Zakzaky is another boko haram threat, then by now his followers would've carried weapons and fought the Nigerian army and force elrufai to run for his life and make Buhari cancel his trip to zazzau and force him to beg in humiliation like the Niger delta avengers did to him. Boko haram are Wahhabi murderers just like Buratai. They are Sunnis like Buhari . Zakzaky is Shia.

When you fail to obey traffic light, fail to obey okada ban and fail to obey traffic law, make inflammatory speech and you break any law, may the murderous terror sectarian army of Buhari and Buratai descend upon you and your family and massacre you in cold blood. When has an army turned to a law enforcement body on citizens? Stupid goat! Mr man, the Shia don't recognize and respect Nigerian government, so what government do against them is 'unrecognizable'. You can't expect protection from the government you despise.. Running a parallel government.. The Houtis in Yemen are loving people and are being provided with more food to feed the yemenis by Iran right? We know your motives and all other intentions, and any threat to Nigeria will be tactically resisted...
Are the Shiite not sponsored by Iran? Stop talking like they are on their own..
That being said, killing of those people is really bad, but is a lesson to respect the constituted authority next time...
Freedom of religion is allowed, but any group which violence tendency will be dealt with accordingly

Iranians are 95% Shia. Iranians staged a revolution to free their country from economic and political bondage and imperialism. Egyptians are 90% Sunnis. They also staged a revolution. Look at the contradiction in your post. You do not want Shia to impose their faith on you, but at the same time claim Sunnis are majority so they will dictate. So by dictating, who is imposing on who? Have the Shia ever beheaded or killed anyone for not being Shia or not fasting during Ramadan as Sunnis generally, and the Wahhabi Sunnis in particular have done even recently?

You know nothing about Yemen and houthis. Before Yemen became a republic, was it not the houthis who were ruling Yemen? The houthis do not want to be dictated to in their country.

You have the Niger delta avengers, why have you not dealt with them? They prevented your president visiting port harcourt. He cowardly cancelled his trip. They did not only block his road (like it was done to Buratai and he used it as excuse to massacre unarmed Nigerians), but they blocked his airspace and also road. He cancelled his trip by air. He was threatened with death and you could do nothing because it wasn't boko haram mercenaries, who were used and dumped by politicians that you're facing. If the Shia take up arms, you will regret your life. And mind you, the Shia are wise. When they take up arms, run! You are finished!!!! You can't win against them and they don't take up arms as last resort if not sure of crushing you. Keep pushing unarmed innocent Shia to the wall and keep opening your forty mouth in boast. When you can tread the path of peace, you are creating trouble and asking innocent Nigerians to take up arms. Keep your dirty acts up and you will get your wish one day. The problem is tyrants do not learn from each other's mistakes. Zakzaky is a non-violent person. And it is his peaceful personality that has made sure his followers not to react even slightly and even when provoked and pushed to the wall to defend themselves. The only terror group here is your sectarian Nigerian army. Go fight against it and cleanse it of Wahhabi terrorists. It's not peaceful and unarmed Nigerians treading the path of peace that are terrorists. You speak commandingly with "we" yet you sound like an illiterate, the same description a judge used to fees robe Buratai, the chief of terror staff. You must be an illiterate soldier supporting terror and massacre against Nigerians. May your end be terrible.
