HRH Ehidiamen Aidonojie, the Onojie of Opoji and vice chairman, Edo state council of traditional rulers and chiefs, has accused Chief Tony Anenih of plotting to assassinate him.

Chief Tony Anenih has been accused of plotting to kill a monarch in Edo state over the political affairs of the state.

The monarch raised the alarm yesterday, July 25, he said he was being threatened by the former chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Onojie said that his lawyers were already preparing a petition to be submitted to the Inspector General of police and the state police commissioner, Chris Ezike.

He added that it was “because I told the world that Esan Royal fathers never endorsed Ize-Iyamu”.

The Vanguard reports that in reaction, Chief Anenih, took a swipe at the Onojie of Opoji, Ehidiamen Aidonojie I, saying that he has never killed anyone in his life time even when he was a young person, let alone now that he is 83.

Chief Anenih told news said “Onojie of Opoji was one of the traditional rulers who received our candidate and the PDP’s governorship candidate for the September election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu. I know him very well.

I never killed somebody in my life even as a Police Constable. Is it now that I will be 83 that I will kill somebody? I will not kill anybody in my life. I am a peaceful man.

I will not kill an ordinary man, a big man, a traditional ruler or anybody. I will not even contemplate killing the Onojie of Opoji, why will I do that?”

The Royal father, had alleged that Anenih called him shouting his disappointment. “I asked him what I had done, he kept shouting ‘what has Oshiomhole (governor) done’ for me in my life and I told him to stop insulting me even if he is Anenih, that I am a traditional ruler for Christ sake.

“He said that was why he was not happy that I attended the function at the Onojie of Uromi’s palace. He went on to say that he thought we had settled, he said he thought we had settled our problem. But I told him that what we agreed was that he should make an Esan man governor but he never did it.

“Rather what he brought to Esan people now was deputy governor and he still kept it in Uromi. And that was the same thing we have been complaining, all the ministers have come from his place in Uromi and in every election, he will ask Esan people to vote PDP.

I asked why did he not move the deputy governorship to another community in Esanland, must it be Uromi?

“He said I should be careful and he was warning me. First of all, it is an abomination to insult a Royal father like me.

I have briefed my lawyers and we are petitioning the IG of Police. I have already informed the state Commissioner of Police and the DSS. Why must Esan people vote PDP when in Esan, most of us have been marginalised while Uromi remains the Israel,” he said.

If you an Esan man, are you also been fair to yourself by taking what belong to your senatorial district to another district? What has Oshomhole attracted to Esanland? I asked if Uromi is not part of Esan? Whether development or appointments is going to one local govt does not matter as long as that local govt is in Esan. Even the Binis has been stabbed by Oshiomole. Go to the whole state schools in Edo South, nothing to write home about instead he keeps increasing fees. Ekiadolor college which he falsefully claimed he has upgraded to University was neglected instead went to his village to build university of national standard.

In Esan, AAU in Ekpoma, College of Education, Igueben has been negleted and skyrocketed by high fee by the administration without any tangible infrastruture on ground. Go to AAU, he deceived student by promising to complete the Administrative building left by Igbinedion's government and as we speak he abandoned immediately he won his 2nd tenure and increased the school fees.

No single road was constructed in Ekpoma which house the state university. If you go to that town you will regret. Same goes to other parts of Esan as a whole.

The only happiness we have is Irrua Irrua Specialist Hospital isn't a state hospital, Oshiomole would have ran it down because his administration isn't good in management. It is a pity a Royal Highness can collect money on his own selfish interest and try to drag Esan into division.

Am so sorry am replying you very late. Now back to the issues you highlighted, I can see that I was wrong In my current assumptions that irrua has it all.
one thing I want you to understand is that you complained about Oshomole's disregard for Esan land in terms of Appointment and otherwise but one thing you have not understood is that Esan land has been a PDP enclave. APC has not been able to get a foothold there. so if they have not benefited from APC led government, its because they have refused to embrace the ruling party in any form, so my candid opinion is that they shouldn't expect to reap where they did not sow.
