This is no news to crack. He is a business man and he invests too. Sometime times, smooth rides. Other times broken paths.... I am thinking how to get greater right now, not having time to hear how someone had dropped from his financial ranks... He is still rich and may even not aware of this news we are debating here. 3 Likes |

He's a billionaire thanks to Nigeria (and Nigerians). Now that Nigeria (and Nigerians) are suffering, it's only natural that he'd be affected. For the very first time (in as long as I remember seeing or being told) both the rich and the poor are not celebrating. Apocalyptic! 19 Likes 2 Shares |

Two things easily discernible from most comments are that either people do not read the whole write up but instead comment based on topic, or they have inadvertently, or become unconsciously sub-conscious of the fact that even at their own detriment they only wish bad for their neighbours. The write-up stated that Dangote's decline on the list is linked to the weakening naira and his resolve to look inwards by investing in Africa in general and Nigeria in particular. Only if those who stole our common wealth would invest a tenth of their loot in Africa to make Dangote much more insignificant as per your wish. And some other kept asking what oil he is going to refine in his anticipated refinery as if river Niger was not there before Mungo Park. 3 Likes |

TheBiafran: You guys are always reasoning against facts. "God put Bubu in charge to competely destroy and disgrace him". What rubbish. God actually put him in charge because he knew Jonathan mismanaged surplus and is not strong enough to manage scarcity and fight corruption. It is pure and brutally simple . His logic is far above human emotions. Dangote was overexposed in Naira but he is not worried. He has a market if 170 million people for his cement and food products, fuel is coming. 4 Likes |

ryanmartini:seeing a lot of insensible comments already. Some people just doesn't know how investment works. This man is opening series of refineries across Africa and he does so with money and not paper.expect him to spring forth and be among the first 30 when all is investments start yielding profits.before he became 51 richest man,he was around 72 or so .more investment means more money.and someone is even mentioning oil already! Yes, Nigeria is in it for it big time (accepted). But I want you to read closely. There's a sentence in the article that says "Dangote is richer in Naira & poorer in Dollars" The advantage for Dangote is that all his raw materials are sourced within Africa. He doesn't rely overwhelmingly on Dollar Transactions. His Oil Refinery is funded by banks so he's also covered on that end. Dangote perharps is the only man smiling @ the moment. So don't be decieved by the artificial financial demotion. The guy is still pretty boxed up. He got business in various African countries where their local currencies doesn't suffer much against the dollar. Before you know it he's back & stronger. Besides Dangote is 'Ibile' he's making much more in this economy than anybody. TheBiafran: |

Smh... This post says HE'S GOTTEN RICHER (in naira) but POORER (in dollars) Due to exchange rate What this means is that his business interests are indeed doing well but he's being hurt by the exchange rate (especially when dealing with his foreign partners) Thus basically it's not even dangote that's in trouble...but nigerians who are in trouble cos inflation go knack us akpako. So those celebrating really need to sit down and go and find what to eat for breakfast... 3 Likes |
