yes, it is, have done some studies in bida basin, its prolific because of river Niger, but chad basin is just a lake, it could be prolific but the economic value after exploration is what is not certain.
They could just spend the money, after reservoir studies, then they can tell if the business will be viable, else drilling production wells in chad will be waste of funds, i will advise them to leave chad for another 20 -50years and run 3D seismic every 5 - 10 yrs and study the reservoir.
