The Federal Government has said that the request by the Turkish government for the closure of 17 schools and hospitals owned by some Turkish businessmen in Nigeria would be handled diplomatically.

Hakan Cakil, had alleged that the schools and hospitals were allegedly owned by the Fethullah Gulen Terrorist Organisation allegedly founded by Fethullag Gulen, a Turkish citizen living in United States.

Kertim in a statement on Friday in Abuja, said Nigeria is a sovereign state "and the call by the Turkish ambassador is not only an affront to the sovereignty of Nigerian nation, but a display of crass ignorance."

Turkish Govt. Should be joking I guess, amids our economic situation they are ordering the closure of 17 foreign investments. This can make over 10, 000 Nigerians loose their jobs because it is Nigerians that work in their firms.

They should try again later, they should manage their coup please, Nigeria have had series of coup yet we are still giants of Africa and we never die. They should carry there cross.

The Turkish president has seen a good reason to invade Nigeria for tunneling funds to overthrow democracy in Turkey and being sympathetic to the terrorist gulen interests in Nigeria.

Who is Kertim?

The guy Na some jihadist wey run Turkey.

The wahala Na wetin Jihadist dey teach Nigerians.

This might explain why Boko Haram went mobile and resurfaced as the so called Fulani Herdsmen..

Remember Buhari said he can't stop the Fulani herdsmen, but is quick against IPOB and the NDA

A person capable of planning a coup d'etat should be afraid of you

Unfortunate

While there were significant numbers of people involved in the coup attempt, the very quick dismissal / arrest of so many people indicates that they were almost certainly already under surveillance and Erdogan was biding his time, waiting for the most opportune time to strike. As the coup failed, that gave him his impetus.

However, as the dismissals / arrests are heading towards 50,000, there's suspicion that Erdogan could take advantage of the opportunity by also arresting / dismissing potential credible political challengers who oppose him but were planning on doing so via the ballot box (and with no links to the coup attempt). Since Erdogan's already taken moves since before the coup to increase the powers of the Presidency and control the media, there's suspicion he could be moving towards turning the country into a semi-democracy - i.e. there are still opposition parties and free elections, but by ensuring no potential credible challengers to the Presidency and by controlling the media, can virtually ensure that only the party / leader currently in power can be in power (c.f. Russia).

At the moment, this is all speculation and supposition, but only time will tell if Erdogan is tempted to use the new powers afforded by the State of Emergency to further consolidate power to himself, or whether he will restrain himself and use them only to remove those looking to overthrow him via military means.

Anyway, Let the investments in Nigeria remain but be closely monitored.

I talk am, I SAID IT THEN THAT THE REVENUE OR TAX GENERATED FROM THOSE SCHOOLS AND ITS INTEREST TO POLITICIANS MIGHT DETERMINE HOW THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT WILL RESPOND TO THAT REQUEST.
MAYBE, BECAUSE TURKEY DID NOT SAY THEY ARE THE SCHOOLS FUNDING BOKO HARAM THAT IS WHY THE GOVERNMENT IS SAYING THEY WILL TREAT THE REQUEST DIPLOMATICALLY
