The former president of Nigeria; Goodluck Ebele Jonathan promoted the idea of "One Nigeria" albeit in a subtle way on his facebook page. As expected, it didnt go down well with some of his followers on facebook. It didnt take time before they gave him a piece of their mind. Attached are clips of the conversation;

Its very much obvious that even though they have much love and respect for Jonathan, they still made their pints known without any resort to insults and tantrum throwing. See more reactions here;

I like that comment...

What makes a country great is not its population, but its ability to manage and utilize its available human and natural resources, providing for its citizens and advancing in technology and economic growth.

I wonder why some people are just tripped about this large size. Is it because Nigeria is addressed as Giant of Africa? If component units that make up this large size are not properly carried along and granted substantial autonomy due to stark ethnic differences which translates to varied modes n levels of reasoning, this humongous size will cause d inevitable collapse of d entire structure under its own weight!

GEJ needs to be more pragmatic n objective at this time. His PhD should come into play now so he can think outside d box and work out ingenious m liberating solutions rather than running around in d same circle and remaining stuck in a rut. The world will forget? What are we being remembered for now? Fantastic corruption and inexplicable inability to govern n develop oneself? Oh puhleeeeze!!

Until we realise that Jonathan and all political elite from the country don't want restructuring but instead the status quo to further their corrupt business using our common wealth....

Nobody who has had the good fortune of leading this country will ever pray for its balkanization. There is unity of purpose at the very top. Jonathan holds the same view as every other leader who had led this country. His five years in office was an opportune time to address some of the imbalances but he scoffed at every attempt to restructure the country. Those who were expecting him to say otherwise should go back to his address to the delegates at the 2014 National Conference. He told them to debate everything about Nigeria, but not its unity. For those who wish to see the nation divided, it is still a long walk to reality.

There are several educated igbos that can debate reasonably without insults, it is just the brainwashed ipob youths that are the insulting ones. Those ones don't reason, their own is to insult and abuse anyone that opposes their views

The truth is that most of the SE and SS politicians are against restructuring or regionalism because they are all benefitting from this so-call 1 Nigeria. 1-Nigeria is not the problem at all but the problem is the leaders and the followers' mentality...

That moment when a big tribe like Igbo is always seen as a minority, when they are now at the bottom of pecking order, that even the Ijaw have a say on national issues more than them, they start requesting for the country to divide because they know that they have lost all relevance since after the biafran war. No wonder their frustration. Its so funny that out of the more than 350 ethnic groups in Nigeria, it's only the Igbo tribe that are want to break up Nigeria because they have lost. The funniest part of it is that nobody even cares to listen to their frustration, because we all know that they can do nothing on their own, so we just watch and laugh them. Lol, it really sucks to be Igbo right now

It is better you say why you support GEJ instead of looking at why others don't support him.

If Okorocha,Obasanjo or PMB had said same thing, all those modest comments won't be seen on that page at all.They would have resorted to throwing tantrums around.
