Psychologists has shown that reverse should be the case where single people were known to be stereotype as being unhappy, lonely, unfilled and emotionally troubled. Single people who are often ridiculed in the society can now have a break from the constant barrage of comments and pressure to get married quickly.

A new research by psychologist Depaulo Bella reveals that most single people are actually more fulfilled than their married counterparts. DePaulo cites research that proves that single people value meaningful work more than their married counterparts and are more determined, therefore more likely to have ‘a sense of continued growth and development as a person’.
Basically, because they don’t spend their days asking their partner what they want to eat/arguing about the dishwasher/having sex, and have loads of time to do other stuff.

That's probably becos they think marriage is the biggest achievement they can get in life, single and successful people can relate to the fact that they experience continuous growth and development as time passes. This doesn't insinuate in any way that marriage is not important.
