we should be looking at max Meyer, all the German inputs to our team have excelled so far and he would be free.

Fred for £45m to replace Fernadinho in the summer, hope he is a good signing

With each passing game, it is becoming clearer that City do have a shot at this UCL. Watching Real-PSG and they both do not strike any fear!

So Delph gets a red and all the criticism possible for that tackle, but the Wigan guy who's tackle was stud outs, high into Aguero's knee level didn't even get a yellow. Anthony Taylor, well done!

Anyway, the lads should forget this. Just keep the focus on league and cup final. Thankfully, this midweek UCL games provide a welcome and much needed distraction for other clubs and media!

Sad the way the game ended, especially with the goal coming from lapses from our defence. Apart from that, props to the players of City for giving their all and playing well, even with a man down.

Very disappointed in the referee for denying two blatant penalties. It is funny how the officiating is always accurate when it concerns offences committed by City players but when the opposing side commits some atrocious play against us, the referees are mute.

It is a marathon and our players should keep running.

The problem is the reaction of the City players. Look at what happened after the Delph tackle. The ref brought out a yellow but the protest from the players forced the ref to change his mind and send off Delph.

Look at our reactions to the terrible tackles against our players and they just stay quiet. When Bernardo Silva got pushed in the box, no one protested. Look at the studs challenge on Aguero. Same problem. The players should change their timid attitudes

That would be trying to gain unfair advantage na. I prefer them to play fair and loss abeg. Don't like the whole tunnel and after match incidents though. It is understandable, tempers run high in these moments. I gladly welcome any punishments and just hope it helps them pipe down and focus!

You guys have spoken well. Personally, it was just a bad day at the office. Great response in the second half after going a man down. Couple half chances to win this game easy but their last-ditch blocking of shots was something of legends. Look on the bright side: if that was an EPL team we would have to go the whole week listening to e-diots talmbout "Wigan had city figured out".

We should not really complain about the shove on Bernardo that was worse than what Loveran did against Everton yet one was given a penalty and the other told to keep playing. We should not also talk about the red card today even though City players have been hit far harder (on 2 occasions the players left injured) without any card in most of the occasions. Delph was rash, but the player jumped over the studs. We don't need anyone to Tell us the rationale for giving him a straight red in a season that the FA did not retroactively punish Kane, Alli etc who did far worse.

On a week where Sane was injured via a bad tackle, the media made more noise about Pep's incomplete bench but to some cretins in another thread he is the media's darling. I hope this loss galvanizes the team into the Carabao cup and subsequent games in the EPL. The UCL can go either ways, but if City win it, it will more than make up for the incompetence(s) of the Refs and the FA Cup exit.

Not gain an unfair advantage but get a fair treatment. How can your teammate get shoved to the ground in the box and demanding for your right becomes an unfair advantage.

How can a player go to injure your teammate and demanding your right is an unfair advantage.

I disagree. Evil succeeds when good men decide to keep quiet.

How can keeping quiet when such atrocity is committed be right?

Well spoken and I believe this will give us the drive to prove ourselves in the Carabao Cup final.

Stones also needs to learn from this. He needs to watch his marker.

I am still at a loss as to why no one is talking about the challenge on Aguero early in the first half. It was higher and more dangerous than that of Delph and there wasn't even a booking.

Anyhow sha, painful but all good!

They said the ref could not give a straight red because it was too early in the game. So considerate of him.

Isn't it obvious that United and Woodward has bribed all the refs. This didn't even get a card...... lol.

I hope Jesus returns soon. The way these guys are getting tackled, the team cannot afford to lose Aguero now. Playing with a false 9 is cool, but not always very effective.
