Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by posakosa(m): 10:33pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
Some Nigerian women, once they get a college degree <even something as small as an Associates>, they begin to Shakara like no man business, especially the babes abroad. Does being an educated woman automatically mean that you are marriage worthy ? Why do some Nigerian women think that because they are educated that automatically means that they are marriage material, Pls ooh, STOP deceiving yourselves and work on your character. Some of them start to do one kind of Shakara like that ?! YUCK! |

redsky1: Where in my post have I undermined the value of education ? Are you sure that you can read ? |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by redsky1: 11:11pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
no i can't that's why i am writing. KMT has any woman come out and said that being educated makes her marriage material cos from my experience the opposite seems to be true (especially in Nigeria) i mean a lot of insecure men cannot handle an educated woman so marry semi - illiterates or women who have a degree for mouth but nothing upstairs to demonstrate that they have actually spent a good few years in higher education. if i man is confident in himself whether his wife has PHD that will not move him - and when a woman meets such a man she will not even have the heart or face to do any shakara. my views. can i read?? very funny |

redsky1: And the church says AMEN Some men are running scared that women are going out there and getting degrees and are becoming so independent. We are no longer dependent on men for pads or underwear |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by redsky1: 11:17pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
can u just imagine the day ur husband is in a bad mood or even worse starts with holding money from u and u don't even have money to buy sanitary towel for yourself - chineke!!!!!!!!! God forbid, my father did not send me to school for such nonsense. look men up ur game and start building confidence - using useless culture to dominate women does not make u superior to women - when u have confidence nothing will shake u. |

Ebonyeyes: The false notion of Independent is not even the point. The point is character ?! Simply obtaining your nursing degree doesn't make you a god. Some women need to stop being bitches because they've had one kain degree, eeew! Some women's behavior even before the guy reaches out a hand, to talk to them is already turned off by their attitude. |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by posakosa(m): 11:21pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
Many of you are missing the point, Education can't make up for a BAD ATTITUDE. This has nothing to do with independence or watever, |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by redsky1: 11:23pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
poster, character can be good or bad whether a woman is educated or not. some men do not even come correct and then expect heaven and earth. abeg, like i keep banging on men need the confidence and a lot of these things will not be a problem i keep saying it if u find a nice, homely, humble, educated, God fearing, cultured and intelligent women and u have confidence all these things u see as issues will not be there. what character are u even talking about self. like all u men are perfect self. |

posakosa: A bitch is a bitch with or without a degree. |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by Nobody: 11:25pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
redsky1:I agree with you hun. I feel some men are intimidated by this and are using the culture thing to still hold girls down. In a few years hopefully we can eradicate these nonsense traditionalist views. Other men use their money but if the girls collect the money, they cry gold-digger. posakosa: Well independent is better than being called a gold-digger by you men . I think its a complex issue here I dont know any girl who acts like a bitch just because she has a degree certificate. Maybe these guys are approaching the girls horribly, step up your game, beef up your swag, times have changed and girls are not impressed by toasting tips that may have worked in the 70s |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by Nobody: 11:27pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
Ladies are damned if they go to school and get an education so they support themselvescalled bitches and are damned if they rely on you mencalled gold-diggers When can we win here? |

I once met a Nigerian woman who is a successful doctor in the U.S., she came to Nigeria to get married to come BUSH man in who resided in Lagos, She filed his papers and everything. The boy doesn't even work! I was quite amazed, she said to me "at least I have a Husband" every weekend, this boy hops from one party to another spending her money, Why can't she find a so-called good man to marry ? Is it because she can control this man with her money? Yes im certain she's educated but there's probably something about her behavior that keeps certain men away, |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by redsky1: 11:30pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
anyway why the question - if u don't want attitude problem kind of chick and u feel its the educated ones giving u that that problem - there are plently off uneducated women around that will worship the groud u walk on. shakara na wah o |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by posakosa(m): 11:30pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
stillwater: Right, I've seen the attainment of a degree change some women. Sometimes a bitchy attitude is escalated by attaining a degree, some women start to think they're gods. |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by posakosa(m): 11:31pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
redsky1: Certainly thats why the introduction of the post said SOME. |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by Nobody: 11:33pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
Some men have a complex especially if the woman earns more than they do. Also we dont know this woman personally so we cant judge. Just because a woman is unmarried, it doesnt mean something is wrong with her. Now she married this man but people like you are still judging her. Gosh what a judgmental world we live in . If we paid more attention to our lives like we do to other peoples lives, society would be such a better place. |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by Nobody: 11:34pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
Ok go for the village ones that you can control and intimidate then I bet your ego will rise to the heavens when she begs you for pad and underwear money. |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by posakosa(m): 11:34pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
Ebonyeyes: Certainly, often times, other people's lives can serve as examples. |
Re: Does Education Make You A Good Wife? by redsky1: 11:35pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
posakosa: stop the bitterness. as for the doctor - maybe she wants a man that she can control - as for me i want a real man that why i married my husband. i earn more than him (for now that is), probably better educated and have a professional career, however i still cook and clean and maintain my position in the home as a woman and allow him to be a man so all this ur talk is just BS to me my dear. when he stepped to me he came correct therefore i give back in a correct manner. as for the independence thing - he is very proud he has a wife that he can comfortably leave for business anyway in the world and his home will still be intact. |
