Given the interlinked nature of our tour businesses especially the one contiguous park (Maasai Mara-Serengeti), it made sense to allow operators from both countries to cross over freely. But not to Tanzania. They felt like we were somehow shortchanging them and benefiting more from that free arrangement because they generally consider their Kenyan counterparts to have superior itinerary, professionals and all other relevant factors. You cant teach communists anything. All they think about is what the other side is gaining, not what they too are gaining. Then when the Kenyan govt banned their tour operators from accessing JKIA in retaliation, they cried foul. What could be wrong with tit for tat? Thats how socialist systems punish their hardworking citizens. Their govt was by large not bothered. Why would they when their pockets are fat?? The Kenyan govt even had more sympathy for the lost jobs of their citizens than their own govt. They were later allowed to continue but the attitude at the TZ border remains the same. The bizarreness.

As a Nigerian, I have never really seen anything fascinating to me about Kenya or it's people, in spite of the fact that they have been bragging on this thread for years now. Believe me, It has been a very long thread.

I have never been to East Africa, but I have been enchanted by the soft power of East Africa, courtesy to the beautiful music of your people (Tanzania).

I love and I'm obsessed with Tanzanian music so so much. Your artistes just have this very wonderful flavour in their music that I just can't explain. I know and follow the music of more than a dozen Tanzanian musicians.
In fact, It became so much that sometimes I even have more Tanzanian musics in my playlist than Nigerian musics.
However it's so unfortunate that most Nigerians only know 2 or 3 Tanzanian musicians, Diamond, Vanessa Mdee and Alikiba. Most are not even sure if they are from TZ . Nigerians are too 'Nigerian-centric'.

The love I had for Tanzanian music prompted me to want to learn Swahili. I find it to be such a beautiful language, only when spoken and sung by Tanzanians. Kenyans and Ugandans do not seem to have that beautiful swahili flavour on their tongues and I don't know why.

Just like my fellow compatriot Obaaderemi told you, please invite your friends (other Tanzanians) here. We would love to get a better and friendlier east African perspective here, not what the likes of TayserMahiri, NairobiWalker, gallivant, Kenyanstar, kikuyu1 et al have been feeding us with.
