We just keep complaining about corruption in nigeria but we overlook the fact that dere is no one in the world that is above this, its just nigeria does its own in the highest magnitude. Even the grate roman empire was corrupt but it still used it to get positive result but corruption is corruption

@Poster, according to you, we should all allow the Nigeria situation to continue as is then.

No one is saying anyone is above corruption, but it is a problem when 150% of the budget of a nation is stolen.
If they can use 85% of the budget on the nation and on meaningful things, and steal the remaining 15%, i wont complain at all.

my point is dis, oda aspects of our lives is being neglected and we are all hiding under the umbrella of corruption. the bottom line is dis, NIgerians dont like demselves, simple.Example, if the niger delta people are allowed to run the crude oil game demselves, give dem a year and nigeria would be at war cos internally alone(niger delta) dey are not harmonised. Our mind set is wrong which means everything about us would be wrong

What other aspects of our lives are you speaking of here? What convinces you that the CORRUPTION complaint is an umbrella people have chosen to hide under?

Are you saying that because, according to you, Nigerians don't like themselves, it would be best for us to abandon the fight against corruption?

How can you change the mindset of people when all they see around them is corruption and more corruption at all levels ( from top to bottom)?

How do you convince a child that honesty is the best policy when all around him, 24/7, he is bombarded with images of how the dishonest make out better than those who try to be honest in the same society? How do you go about convincing a college student in Nigeria that crime does not pay, when he has grown up to understand that if he does not get into the game, he will likely end up killed off like a chicken or may be forced to live life never enjoying the basic comforts?

without the so called corruption, there will be enuf money to fund all the project and things to make life aiight for the people, fund education, fund electricity and other people wont be greedy about it, there will be enuf money to fund health system, for security and other useful things and the problem of N-Delta might not even happen.
There will always be problem though, but the biggest problem we ave in Nigeria is corruption.

the whole idea of me challenging the umbrella of corruption in the country is that all we think about is this coruption coruption coruption.wereas the country gets what it deserves, a leader of a country is the reflection of the citizens itself, this means we are the archetec of our own lives. the people are faulty and as such the presedent would be faulty, the lawmakers would be faulty and the country would be faulty, there is too much hate, too much beef and the county cannot progress. so there are oda problems than corruption

Why choose to ignore the problem right in front of you. You admit that there is corruption at all levels, which is good. But, why don’t you see that when you have corrupt people living amongst each other, there is bound to be this level of hate and “beef”? What did you expect? Joyous happy corrupt individuals, hugging each other, after every corrupt dealing?
