Godfrey suffers from a very rare medical disorder which left him with physical deformities. Godfrey is populary known as "Sebabi”, which means “ugliest of them all.” He got this name after winning a contest as the ugliest man in Uganda that he never entered himself. Some1 who believed he was the ugliest entered him & convinced him he wld become a tourist attraction & yes he won. Then he started earning income appearing on stage & shows. As Godfrey put it, money talks & ladies started throwing themselves at him. So he decided to settle down.

Life has never been easy but this incredible man has remained upbeat & positive, doing what he can to make the most of his situation. And he’s not letting the nickname get to him. He waited patiently to find some1 who wld look past his outward appearance & see him as God wld, 4 the man, inside.

Godfrey thought he had found that person when he married his 1st wife . Life seemed 2 be looking up & he was blessed with 2 children. His hopes were crushed though when he learnt that his wife was being unfaithful. Following leads, he caught her red handed. Bitterly disappointed & heartbroken, he divorced her. This was after he had spent almost all his money to please her.

But he didn’t give up hope that there was some1 out there who cld look past the physical & love him for his heart. And that’s when God sent him Kate Namanda. He stayed 1st with her for years be4 her pipo knew where she was becoz he didn't want them to see him & his looks less they discouraged her so they agreed they shld 've children 1st be4 her family knows & it worked.

Kate Namanda loves Godfrey for the person on the inside & so the two were married officially only in 2013. Apparently wedding guests had to pay 4,000 Ugandan shillings to attend the wedding reception & meet the woman that Uganda’s ugliest man had married.

The couple is happy & welcomed their 6 baby. Godfrey remains upbeat, and is now pursuing a singing career. He hopes to be able to use his voice to entertain people because he says he’d rather not go on stage for people to just stare at him.
