SlayerSupreme: Wait oo, why are you the only one here using harsh words on people? Are you the only Igbo man in the world? Do you think hatred can ever win the hearts of people to a cause or belief? Stop insulting Anioma people pls. There are many things we don't like about Igbos but we don't go around calling them names. I bet you that you don't have the monopoly of insults. Continue insulting Aniomas and you and i will go down here. Mtchww |

Ngozi123: Well, i did not say i hate Imo, Abia or Anambra peeps, just that i have observed that they are somehow different from Onitsha n Nsukka peeps, not all but most. Most Nsukka and Onitsha peeps i have met are quite friendly, they are detribalized, warm, somehow refined and calmer, they lack this extreme igbotic character which many core Imo and Anambra people posses. I am not claiming to be a final authority on anything, am just saying what i have observed personally. There was no time anywhere when Anochia people came out to tell the world that they are Igbos. Anioma is the only identity which i know my people to celebrate. My people do not greet IGBO KWENU and neither do we adress ourselves as Igbo people. Our elders adress themselves as ENUANI people and that is what i know. |

bigfrancis21:If you listen to Ika movies and musics and hear them use chukwu and chi instead of Osolobue and ehi, it's because they're not speaking the real Ika. The real Ika words have deep root in Ika cultures but the Igbo ones don't. Ika is neither Igbo nor Bini but majority of Ika kingdoms were founded by people from Bini/Ishan area. |

Re: Igbo Vs Delta-Igbo: What A Guy Posted On Facebook by ikechu1: 6:55pm On Sep 27, 2016 |
Ngozi123: SHE'S not Aniocha. She is from Benue state. What I don't understand is the level of disgust people have to get just to showcase their bigotry. If you are a bigot to igbo while attach to a community to showcase your bigotry. Honestly, I pray I pity that bitch cause I would slap her. I'm getting very irritated with northernets, Benin and yoruba pretending to be anioma on this forum to cause division within a community. This is one of the main reason I cannot stand this miserable nation. 6 Likes 1 Share |

ikechu1: Yes Ikechu or whatever you call yourself. Let me give you a little history about myself! Not all of us have the time to be living fake lives on social network ok? My mother's father is from Benue, but he migrated to Agbor very long ago while he was younger and he married an Ubulu-uku woman, he had 3 children of which my mother was one of them. My mother and her sibblings grew up in Ubulu uku and my mother actually got into a relationship with a man from a neighbouring community and she gave birth to me. My grandfather got old and he decided to go back to Benue state and he took all his children and his Anioma wife back to Benue state, including me his grandaughter. My mother then later got married to a Benue man and i grew up in this my Benue step father's house and accepted him aa my father and this is the reason why i mostly claim Benue as my state of origin! It was later on that i re-united with my real father through the help of my grandmother from Ubulu-uku and i do visit that town yearly to see my biological father, sometimes together with my granny who is also from that town (are you happy now that i have told you my whole life history?) |

Her point about Igbos from Onitsha and Nsukka being similar to Anioma people but different to other Igbo people caught my attention. Why do these people try so hard to cause divisions amongst us? 5 Likes |

genieluv: Can you please shut the f2k up with your attache by force ass. You joined this forum last year, throughout years on NL you focused on Middle belt. You even exposed your own self by claiming Middle belt. When arguing with igbo regarding your bigot comments to igbo, you sheld yourself by pretending to be mixed igbo ( your own comments) And now, in a thread regarding anioma is when you decided to be Enuani that's not Igbo. Next time you try to be a bigot, be proud of your Benue heritage and stop using others as your shield. Lady, I'm Enuani and I'll appreciate it if you stop pretending to be one of us. You are NOT!!! 7 Likes 2 Shares |

ikechu1: I wouldn't have really cared if she pretended to be from Ika as I don't really have that much in common with them but the fact that she tried to drag Aniocha/Oshimili people into her mess indirectly drags my people into it as well. I don't like it when people try to distort my history. |
Re: Igbo Vs Delta-Igbo: What A Guy Posted On Facebook by Abagworo(m): 7:01pm On Sep 27, 2016 |
Chiwude: What you just wrote is a fallacy. You cannot claim to understand every Igboid dialect without actually living or interacting with the speakers. Maybe when written down you can deduce the meaning using the similarity in lexis or the shared words. Ika will be difficult for even Onitsha Ugbo to understand not to talk of Imo State lime you. In Igbo language you understand dialects proximal to yours or you've interacted with. |

bigfrancis21: Read my story above. I am of dual origins but my biological father is originally Anioma, even my maternal grandmother and my mother and her sibblings were born in Anioma land. check my comments from the beginning, that is what i always wrote. Infact i really did not used to accept my Deltan origin in the past until after some few years ago. Are u guys happy now? |
Re: Igbo Vs Delta-Igbo: What A Guy Posted On Facebook by bigfrancis21: 7:03pm On Sep 27, 2016 |
chukzyblingz: Nah, I respect your decision if you want to carve a different identity for yourself but do not try to distort history in your bid for distinctness. Majority of Ika kingdoms were not founded by people from the Bini/Ishan area but instead the Ikas were aboriginally Igbo-speaking people influenced by Bini/Ishan customs and traditions due to living close to each other. Moreover, there is nothing like 'original ika'. You'd be surprised to find that the Ika spoken pre bini kingdom influence may have been fully Igbo before the bini influence on it. That would be the 'real ika' you are mentioning here which is gradually being restored again to its previous state in recent times. The Ikas practise several Nri customs such as the Nze na Ozo, etc. which indicates its historical connection to the Nri people who live far away from the Ikas. Just like the Ohafias borrowed from the Annangs/Ibibios, the Ikas borrowed the Bini style of leadership and some festivals such as Igue etc. but their true identity - their language, was never distorted. Language, when not forced upon on a people, is often said to be the main identity of a people that identifies a people regardless of the influence they may have. Best said, the Ikas who speak an Igbo dialect are ethnically an Igbo group but politically are not Igbo. I understand that you are Ika and not Igbo. However, the history itself should not be distorted. 1 Like |

It is the Igbo-Hating 2-faced bi-polar dimwits like you that will continue to get the shorter end. A self-denying idiot will go out and misbehave with an Igbo name and then we're all dragged in the mud. No one cares the fool may be a benin-serving stooge under an Igbo name. Lest you get it twisted,I have never cared what self-denying idiots claim to be so don't ever think I'll patronize you by trying to convince a brick. ikechu1: The problem with some of you is that tribal hatred and madness has come over you that you really no longer act like civilized people. Infact very soon ama leave nairaland, this is why i really am not active in this site due to the level of tribalism here. If you were a civilized person, you would have politely asked me why i claimed middlebelt in the past and now claiminig Enuani and i would have politely explained it to you. If not, on a normal day, what business do you think a Benue person would have with Enuani issue? Pls, we did not go to school or just acquired an education for nothing but to act as civilzed people. If you doubt my 'Anioma-ness', you are free to ask me any question, at least my grandmother taught me about the culture and she and my mother used to speak the language a lot and since i have been visiting there for years now, i have learnt a lot of things about the culture. I also try my best to keep close to issues surrounding my hometown like this Kingship tussle of late which brought a teenager to become our crowned OBI in Ubulu-uku kingdom. |

I have looked through your past post and incase you try to modify one of your post and add one comment, I've already screenshot ed each of your post. ikechu1: And just for your info! I am equally as proud of my Benue origin as i am proud of my Enuani origin. I was raised by a Benue man who took me as his own daughter and raised me up when my biological father was not there. If not for my grandmother whom i respect so much, such a lovely woman, i would not have cared about re-uniting with my biological father in Delta state some years ago. So if you touch my Benue identity i roar against you, touch my Deltan identity i do likewise? Comprenez vous? |
Re: Igbo Vs Delta-Igbo: What A Guy Posted On Facebook by chukzyblingz(m): 7:20pm On Sep 27, 2016 |
bigfrancis21:There is no Nze Na Ozo title in Ika. There are a few Igbo cultures in Ika but nobody knows about these them. They're very insignificant in Ika kingdoms. The major cultures and festivals are Edo ones. There's no proof that the Aborigines of Ika lands are Igbos. Don't say what you don't know. And yes, there is a way the real Ika language is spoken you can't even understand it. Ika language has been Igbonized a great deal and that's the fact. There is nothing like a language going back to what it used to be. Igbo jas the population to influence any minority language around them but Bini doesn't have that. |
