To the Jonathan administration, making the crisis-torn Borno State an oil producing state has become a task that must be accomplished. Speaking at the palace of the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Garbai, on February 2, the visiting Vice President Namadi Sambo announced Federal Government’s allocation of $100 million for oil exploration in the Lake Chad basin in the 2013 budget . This, he said, is in addition to the $75 million spent last year on modern seismic data gathering and processing to identify three oil blocks in the basin.

Millions of dollars have been spent by past Govt and from investigations, it was claimed that

"The Chad Basin is estimated to have oil reserve of 2.32 billion barrels of oil and 14.65 trillion cubic feet of natural gas . The oil and gas are flowing underground, across the seven countries that share the Lake Chad Basin: Nigeria, Chad, Niger, Cameroon, Sudan, Algeria and Central African Republic."

The Truth remains that 'No Oil No Nigeria In Good Shape'. They should stop deceiving us and work with what we have. That doesn't stop them from looking into other sectors. This is an era that Oil is one of the economic power of the world, and we have it. Simply settle the region and explore the Oil for the whole Nation use. And stop beating about the bush. God bless Nigeria.

Why not find a lasting solution to their plight, instead of looking for it elsewhere. You take what they have, shared it with others and yet nothing is working or left for them.

But Buhari is spending huge sums of money to make new oil explorations in the north of Nigeria.

For short, Buhari's increasing lies now beg for divine intervention to save Nigeria.

He lies the more when he faces international community abroad, perhaps he believes Oyibo foolish.

Worst, Buhari's defenders no longer know how to defend Buhari's lies.

This is not the first time the corporation would be announcing this. Previous investigations had revealed that the NNPC acquired 370 square kilometers of seismic data between January and May 2010 with a target to achieve 530 square kilometers by December 31, 2010. The total volume earmarked for acquisition at the Chad Basin operations of the NNPC is 3,550 square kilometers under a 12-phased program, the statistics revealed.
