Sade Robinson had no idea she’d be celebrating more than just her son Christian’s second birthday, BuzzFeed reports. With the entire family watching, Christian helped his dad (and Robinson’s boyfriend of three years) Joshua propose.

The beautiful moment was captured from when Christian open his present, which turned out to be a ring box buried in pink tissue paper. The surprising thing here, was Christian didn’t miss a beat when handing the ring over to Joshua, who got down on one knee without Robinson even noticing.
