It is the responsibility of he who alleges to prove.The DSS must be able to prove the monies were proceeds of a particular corrupt activity. You don't take someone's money and ask him to prove he didn't get it through corruption, the law doesn't work that way.I am however sure the judges would be ready ti explain alternative sources of their income but the law expects the DSS to prove that the monies were sourced from corruption and not the other way round

The DSS don't need to prove much.

All they need are your CCB affidavits, evidence of wealth in contrast to your declarations, some circumstantial evidence of graft, your intention to cover up your "crime", some witnesses including the registrars that may have ratted you out and it's all home and dry.

All the above are conjectures, it is an offence to be in possession of unearned wealth, if earned legitimately the paper trail will show the source, value added by the judges and taxes paid etc. If the security agencies can't prove the source is illegal, tax evasion charges can brought against them.
The fact such amount is kept at home is reasonable ground to suspect money laundering, tax evasion, and criminal intent. Are judges legally allowed to engage in active business? eg soliciting for contracts, buying and selling etc. by the codes and ethics of their profession? Even if they are able to prove trhey earned the money found by obtaining contracts, they may still be charged for infractions especially if such contracts came from sources that could be deemed conflict of interest.

They have asked for the suspension of the judges by the NJC which is the right thing everywhere in the world. You may try to confuse your likes but when it comes to this issue your judges would be reduced to ordinary citizens and sit as accused in the courts.

The NJC in one of their letters to the DSS on Justice Pindiga made it clear that the DSS could not substantiate its allegations against him and refused to suspend him.None of the judges will be suspended by the NJC without sufficient proof
