I am Ibo. This is one tradition I love and cherish so,so much. The Edo people have a very rich tradition which they have maintained over the centuries. Whenever I read there history, I always fill proud that I am in the same geographical enclave with them.

No Yoruba king bears Oba even in present day. Oba is generic. Yourba Kings have specific titles they are know by. Onni, Alafin, Alake, etc.

I have explained it many times on threads here. Royalty is supposed to maintain neutrality of emotions publicly. Lips, teeth, joy or sadness are not supposed to be seen.
