LEGAL luminary, Prof. Itse Sagay, joined the ranks of chiefs of Warri Kingdom, yesterday, as Ogiame Ikenwoli, the Olu of Warri, conferred on him the title, “Olufusi of Warri”. Philanthropist and initiator of Hallmark of Labour Foundation, Mrs. Patricia Utuedo-Arawore, on the occasion, also became “Atseju-Olu of Warri” while Madam Winifred Egbejule invested as Ogiefo of Warri Kingdom. The Olu, shortly after conferment of the titles on the trio at the Aghofen palace, Warri, prayed for the new chiefs and the entire Warri kingdom, asking God’s peace and progress to prevail under his reign. “Chieftaincy titles, in this kingdom, are not for sale, but recognition for the hard-work and contribution of recipients to their fatherland. Everybody cannot be made chief at a time”, Ikenwoli said. “There are so many out there who are deserving. They are not being left out. People should be patient. We are identifying more deserving persons who must continue to do good. When it’s time to reward you, we will reward you accordingly”. The conferment of chieftaincy titles by the 20th Olu of Warri continues towards his first coronation anniversary.
