A friend sent in these pictures of the massive queue at the famous Ojota Pedestrian bridge in Lagos. According to her, she's been on the queue for 30 minutes now.

Lagos State government should find a solution to this before it leads to a major catastrophe.

This is what happens when
1. the available resources is not enough for the masses.
2. Nigerians are getting used to doing the right thing for the first time.
3.When the government doesnt have the foresight to envisage that a bigger pedestrian bridge or alternatively route is needed

I hope the bridge will not collapse because am not sure this bridge is built for this kind of pressure and traffic.

Africa's fifth largest economy indeed. I wonder the criterias they use to measure all these economic indices. No institution in Nigeria is worthy to be enlisted among the competing institutions for what ever reason. The same goes for any state in Nigeria. Just look at the so called fifth largest economy in Africa, so pathetic
Criteria is a plural word already. Modify pls...

Whats the beef about. You need to be told what 5th largest economy is about.
It's doesn't mean 5th highest standard of living, or 5th in crowd control.
Lagos is Lagos. If you vex go and do your own rating.

Then if the standard of living is not included in the criterias then the benchmark is wrong. Economic development has to reflect on people's lives

they have started building a second bridge. I'm sure the government didn't know the bridge would be so inadequate before they installed the nets.

i think there should be an urgent law now that will ban people having kids in the next 5 or 10 years across the nation

Maybe not a law banning child bearing, but a law that give a quota on that. Like Singapore And China have done. We are currently having population explosion. Where the current population is far above the available resources.

But other states are empty naa, hehehe
The economic activity here makes lagos over populated, other states need to step up cos am certain alot of ppl prefer the less hectic life in other states
The hustle must continue!
