phemmyutd: I tire o bros... From the comments I read here, it's safe to say that mAny are DUMB in this country.... That kind of bill cannot sail through because we have plenty Christian house members from both the north and the south, and the senate has not agreed to it yet... What is wrong with these people |

This is part of the conditions given to the Fed. Govt. by Boko Haram, to make sharia a must in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, you and I know if it is passed into law, as it is almost, because it has passed the first reading and in the second, automatically and officially Nigeria will become an Islamic country. so this is a subtle scheme by the Buhari led administration to silently turn Nigeria to an islamic nation. that is the north's agenda gradually taking shape unchallenged by the minority Christian Senators and members of house, definitely Boko Haram is having its way through its apologists (the north) Christians should wake up from slumber and don't remain docile. 1 Like |

phemmyutd: You guys lack perspective. A 71yr old Christian woman was unjustifiably slaughtered in Kano and her accusers have been released. Who will get judgement for her murder? A Christian preacher in Abuja was murdered shortly after. No conviction. A Christian man was lynched and almost killed for eating during ramadhan in Kaduna. No one has been convicted and serving time. Yellow has been released for his kidnap and raype of 14 yr old Ese, a Christian. In Katsina, their Emir said his kidnap and forcible conversion of a 14yr old and Christian he has added to his harem is irreversible. These are just few of the many atrocities, reported or left unreported, in which justice has turned the other eye and left Northern muslims off hook for victimizing Christians across Nigeria. They were blatant, not hidden! Where is your so called Christian conscience defenders to stand against the Muslim oppression of Christians? I want to see how you will stop Shariah bill from becoming law when you are impotent and voiceless to stop the violation of underage Christian girls snatched and impregnated with Muslim seeds. When you stop this atrocity then I will believe in your brag to stop Shariah bill. Im watching... 2 Likes 1 Share |

Their stupidy is second to none my brother. They still do not know that turkey was a deeply rooted christain nation until it was conquered and turned into an islamic country. It's still thesame strategy they are using. pchukwudi: 1 Like |

SirRoberto: Sharia Criminal laws are not permitted by the Constitution. Sharia Civil Laws are permitted by the Constitution Who knows whether Osinbajo, like many many Nigerians from the south, understands the difference between Sharia Civil Laws allowed in the constitution; and Sharia Criminal Laws not allowed by the Constitution? What people are agitated against is the Bill to include Sharia Criminal laws in the constitution. Sharia Criminal laws include stoning women to death for adultery; death for blasphemy; |

What feeble set of people who do not recognise their right hand to the left. When do Christians think of having a law to enforce? Can anyone of you Christians explain with biblican citations that all church programmes are in accordance with what in the Bible, when we are talking about law I think you people should go and sit down because you don't have any instead the west successfully brain wash you and follow suit all their ways of like and tag it as Christian ways. We Muslims have law and we practice it wholeheartedly in all our endeavours, we don't compromise our creeds and we know what we want not what the west want and stood up again any force that will not allow us to achieve such. Sharia law is here and has finally come to stay! |

somito121 post=50795768[s: Hunnn this is one of the most educated of this generation. Now can you listen to yourself! If after you claim to possess as educational qualifications you can not think better than this then there are problems. What are the positive impact the law you are trying to protect had in this country over the years? OK let us take Bible, tell the extent the churches enforce what is in it? Come to yourself gan can you sincerely pronounce to the world that you are Christian? Take Bible as the scale of measuring the behaviour of your engagements. |

Buhari is the worst thing to happen to this country !. We see all this coming, his appointments speak volume of his hidden agenda, he has strategically positioned muslims such christians views and influence are inconsequential. My annoyances are with those folly christians from the South that help in forcing this extremists on us. Osinbanjo if the Sharia laws is not going to be a national issues, why bringing it to the Senate house , what happen to their state houses of assemblies ?. At this point, with the back up Obama, the Christians In world including Nigeria has been close marked. Pray let Donald Triumph wins. 2 Likes 1 Share |

All I can say is, if they try to force the sharia law on Christians, with speed Nigeria will divide and Americans will not slack, they will use it as the only tools to make sure their prediction come to reality. Our Christians senator are just there looking for money to loot, maybe they use Fulani language during the first and second reading, corruption free rigime my foot 2 Likes |

dealslip: You seem to be quite ignorant and intolerant as a lot of Nigerian Christians, even after clear explanation and re-assurance of the vice president, who is not only an ordinary Christian but also a pastor, with much better knowledge than yourself. Pray tell, where is the Sharia law, as currently practised in this country, being applicable to non-Muslims and how would any of the proposed amendments affect Christians? Yes, by all means go ahead, I can assure you that no Muslim would stand in your way should you Christians wish to similarly adopt Moses law for your own exclusive use. In addition, it may not have occurred to you that most of our laws were derived from English law which in turn were based on Cannon law - the main reason why our colonial masters appreciated the need and therefore allowed Sharia law for Muslims along with native law for traditionalists - in order to accommodate our diversity. Lastly, try to always get your facts right; the woman was not beheaded but beaten to death by mob action - her husband had publicly and categorically denied such allegation. As for acquitting her alleged assailants; the law is very clear, a judge cannot convict until a case is proven beyond reasonable doubt - no need saying that mob action crimes are usually the most difficult to prove; considering the almost zero conviction of the perpetrators of jungle in the south; who often strip naked, beat up and roast alive alleged criminals such as armed robbers, kidnappers, ritualists etc to death. Finally, if you are still dissatisfied and insist upon their guilt and therefore conviction; well the door is not entirely closed; you may want to try persuading her family, your church or any other powerful Christian group e.g. CAN to take the matter forward, by way of appeal, right up to the supreme court. |

For those asking what the osinbajo could have done. Since he's commenting on this, as a christian and as a so called pastor, he could have condemned this bill. He could have said this bill is not good for nigeria. He could have said this is wrong for millions of christains in nigeria but no, he has decided to be a politian about this instead of being a christian/pastor. I rest my case. |

RZArecta: These muslims always want supremacy, how does it even put food on the table of the common man.? How is sharia law a tool for development? What set of leaders do we even have in this courtyard called Nigeria. Which developed nation attained its height with sharia? We'll see good things and will not copy. How many of the countries ruled by sharia have peace today? What a country! |

Vp, keep on supporting the northern agenda of Islamising Nigeria, under your own watch (a man of God) all these are happening. it's well. I pray we Christians realize & recognize ourselves, speak in one voice to ensure equity and fairness in the laws governing us all. |

You have spoken well and u reason the same way along with me,SENATE alone can't enact such controversial bill without passing through the green chamber. The speaker,DP speaker, minority Leader nd majority Leader are Christian. Why shouting foul play that the bill would successfully passed into Law?? Instead of some gullible fools to hold the like of Christians senators to accountable for it,they are trowing tantrum on the VP.What is the function of chief whip there at the red chamber?? A Christian and a professor, smh. If it passes through the second reading at the desk of saraki nd ekweremadu,it won't at the desk of dogara and Lasun and there is no way Senate can av the support of 2/3rd of States house of Assembly,it is 100% impossible. Islamisation of Nigeria can and will Never be possible, MR President (won't even support it) and the house of Senate don't av such supreme power to boycott 1999 constitution without amendment. [/b] |

MeAboki: Mr.Abokii, we know your type. Your explanation sounds noble but it is devoid of honesty. Why was the case of a Christian tried in the Sharia court since it is exclusively for Muslims. Taqiya is your subtle way of harming others and feigning harmlessness. If Christians were intolerant in Nigeria like your Aboki brothers and sisters, Nigeria would have divided since. How dare you insult the collective intelligence of Nigeria Christians and still be calling them intolerant. You people kill Christians like Chicken in the North and no one gets arrested. Yet you have the boldness to be pretending that the Nigerian constitution is based on Christian/Canon laws and that we are intolerant. Evil and demonic people. You lot will all account for the blood of every Christian harvested in the North because of their different belief. In Our Kingdom, when you kill, our God shall avenge but your cup isn't fill yet. You will all experience the wrath of God for all the blood of the innocent you spill daily. 2 Likes |

Am 100% sure they all knw wat it takes if such bill is enacted. How can FG place ban on alcohol in city of Lagos for example?? What happened to our sense of reasoning full implementation of sharia Law is just a mere joke that can't go beyond NASS even if it is passed into Law. |
