Footage shows artillery weapons bought by Jonathan, used by Late Col.Abu-led troops against Boko Haram


A video footage of artillery weapons allegedly bought by the Jonathan’s Administration shortly before the 2015election and being used by the military in its operation to recapture Boko Haram held territories in the north east Nigeria has emerged.

In the Video, the Late. Col. Abu is seen leading the mission and giving directivesas to how the weapons should be handled.

Some of the weapons as seen in the video are brand new which suggests they were just bought in not too distant time, a claim that indicates the jonathan’s administration indeed bought some weapons for the military in the fight against the Boko haram terrorists.

Some people are damn too stupid!!!

Why are some people so jobless, that all they think is wasting their time on irrelevant issue that will not change their lives. If govt is continuity ,then even a president that ruled 30years back, will have some of the weapons bought as part used to fight this war in their arsernal. Nairaland has become a joke.... I see an emergence of more serious platforms soon, if nairaland does not begin to screen the content on their platform.

What's the confirmation that those are new artillery?

I have visited some artillery brigades and the arsenal I saw there are as good as new because they are not used regularly.

Just because they are mounted on transport vehicles does not make them new. That is how they are transported. And they may also be refurbished gear called new- Naija style. It's a 2-way thing.

Infact, looking at that last tank, that the video concentrated on towards the end of the video, that does not look like a brand new 21st century tank. It looks repainted. And it has some loose aluminium. That is definitely not a brand new tank. If one looks at inside of the rims, it looks recently painted and new, but if one inspects the chains that cannot be painted, it portrays that the tank is not new.

why didn't u say dis during GEJ era

even with this video evidence, some people still don't believe Jonathan bought any weapon...they believe these weapons fell from the sky....

Some bastards still don't understand how Buhari runs his government, someone who didn't even spend 3 hours at his daughter's wedding is going to raise a parade that he bought weapons? And did anyone in the video state specifically that the weapons are Jonathan's purchase?
