'Nigerian Trump' To Demolish The Nigerian Political Status Quo by EreluY(f): 10:35pm On Nov 09, 2016
The emergence of Donald Trump and the massive support he had which culminated in his emergence as the President-Elect of the USA has left me with two questions, amongst others, vis-a-vis:

1) Can a 'Nigerian Trump' emerge and challenge the political status quo?
2) Will such a person be massively supported all the way through to Aso Rock?

Please share your thoughts!!!

The Nigerian political system is homogenized. A Nigerian Trump with no prior political experience whatsoever would raise skepticism. Nigerians are highly impressionable and the slightest amount of doubt would spread like wildfire. The willingness of Americans to vote for Trump admist all the controversy and scandalous issues is depicting of a society that is not easily brainwashed by the diplomats such as Clinton and smoothtalkers, one that sees beyond the obvious. The Nigerian society I'm afraid is not in a place to exhibit such doggedness and a mental resistance against the obvious.
A society already on Clinton's sideby virtue of some bogus prophesy is not ready to see someone like Trump assume the position of a president. Nigeria is not yet in a place to accept a "Trump". Perhaps this is the sustenance of the self repeating cycle of corruption.
