Hello Nairalander Doctors,
Pls a friend was stung by scorpion at his foot. Please is there any drug or herbal drugs that can be used?
Please your response is needed.
Many Thanks

I know this is most likely coming too late. There are anaesthetic drugs and pain relievers that you could be given at the nearest Pharmacy if you rush there. I don't know of any effective herbal drugs!

Good day doctors...

I recently noticed a strange colour in my sperm, a egg-yoke like colour... though I've been experiencing a little itch inside my penis.

please what could be the possible problem if any and solution.
And if I'm at a risk of anything... thanks

Hello input, such yellowish discharge and stained semen with the itch indicates an infection. See a doctor physically (for tests and treatment ) as soon as possible. It has serious complications I don't want to scare you with!

Dear Doctor, I was diagnosed with cervical spondylosis in September 2014, placed on celebrex 200mg per day with 50mg tramadol and 2mg sirdalud. Then I was referred to the physiotherapist which attendance has been helpful to reduce the pain. My question is that for how long do I have to take the medication? I find it necessary every other day or every 2 days now, unlike daily before I started physio. Cos of the ongoing strike, I bought a TENS unit for use at home. Thank you for anticipated consideration sir

Iyaayi, sorry for what you are going through. I understand how tough your condition can be. Sorry.

Different people have different experience depending on the severity. It will be difficult to say the outcome and How the disease will progress; probably the doctor taking care of you personally can help.

For you, be positive, prayerful, take your drugs, and attend your clinic appointment regularly. Sorry dear.

PLEASE house, I need a good doctor/damatologist to prescribe good ezcema cream or drug for me.... This eczema on my neck is getting our of hands and I'm really ashame sometimes.

Please anybody should help.... I just need active cream or drug that can work in 10 days.

Thanks and God bless

Like seriously? 10 days? I doubt if you will have a reliable treatment in such a short time.

Your best shot is to see a dermatologist physically. Who knows it might not even be eczema! You need examination before a drug can be prescribed. That is the best for you, Johnson.

Hello..if there's pain on urinating, poor urine flow, redness...it could be one of few things including infection and trauma (or abuse).

Stop guessing. See a doctor, now.

Goodday.. I want to.know it your expertise extends to weight gain. I have been trying to add weight for a while with numerous failings. Dunno If you could give your professional advice and insight to weight gain tips.
your due response is highly anticipated.
Thanks in advance

I really don't know why you want to add weight o! But, all I can say hear is eat. Eat--frequently (every 2 hours). Large meals. And in-between meals. And never allow yourself to get hungry. Depending on genetics and your body type (and metabolism), you should add some pounds if you continue consistently.

Hi doc in the hse, been experiencing ringing in the ears. 'started since March last year but never took it so seriously until December same year when I noticed it persisted and seemed to be getting out of hands. Visited a private ENT specialist close to me where several drugs were administered including x-ray and nose drops. The doc said it's chronic rhynosinusitis and eustachian tube dysfunction, was also given a water solution to giggle down my throat. Despite all these, the buzzing still persists but whenever I lie down facing upwards with my neck raised high and bent on a pillow or I grab my neck with my hands all around with force putting pressure on it (i.e the neck side by my right ear as it's only the right ear that's affected) I get some relief but once released, buzzing continues. Will be glad and grateful if u can advice and or assist. I feel so uncomfortable and sad at this feeling, moreso, as it's gradually affecting my mood. Thanks..started medications on sat 3/01/2015.
Your prompt response would be appreciated.

Bekee, it seems you are already in the right hands. Go back to the ENT specialist, tell him how the symptoms are persisting or getting worse. He should know how to adjust the treatment.

If you aren't satisfied with his care and services, see another ENT doctor.

If you need to talk, contact me. Sorry Bekee.

Thanks Dr Malik. Glad to have you back. I already told the doc the buzzing still persists even after av completed the drugs and he assured it will stop in a matter of time that is gradually. But truth is, even after all the drugs, I feel little or no relief, I just wanna believe it will stop soonest. As for seeing another doc, I visited general hospital, saw d doc, he prescribed another set of drugs even tho I made him understand I had already started treatment. The problem I have is their mode of operation. Imagine, next appointment given is scheduled for April. Will I continue to bear this discomfort? plus I spent so much at the private hospital and it would cost even more if I have to visit another going by your advice.
How do I reach you please? Thanks.

What is your qualifications? Did you graduate from Medical school? Did you complete a residency training, a fellowship or any post graduate training? Before you start giving medical advice, be sure you are qualified to do so. Some people are gaulible.

Hi, my name is Dr. Nwamba, I am a Nigerian American doctor. I think this post is fascinating. I would like to extend my insight to whomever is needing medical counsel or advice. I see alot of international medical graduates seeking residency programs here in Michigan and could offer advice on how to apply to residencies (or medical school) here in Michigan or any other state of your interest. There are a ton of programs available to those interested in health but many students are simply not aware of them. Feel free to email me any other medical questions you have at drnwamba@yahoo.com. Please provide you age and gender and I will answer your question as quickly as I can.

Thank you Dr. But is the weight lost not connected with the previous mentioned infections?
And what are the remedy to this infections cos I have tried so many medications to no avail.
Thanks!
I am going through exactly this same thing you are going through!!
I'm a slim person from the onset..but ever since I got to school last two years, my weight dropped ..the first time I noticed, I dropped 4kg within the period of 6-9months. I eat well o!!
now have been at home since two months now but I seem to keep losing weight as my mum kept complaining.. my neck bone region is quite deep than usual. my clothes still look okk on me(I expected them to be loose) but I myself know I've lost some weight!

used to think my schooling is the cause of the loss but c'mon! now I'm at home! all the symptoms lomaxx mentioned, I haven't experienced them.. aside sore throat which has always been part of my illness since I was a kid..it comes like thrice a year within 3-4months interval and lasts 2-4days! others are out of it!

I eat quite well(tho have always not been a large eater) some quantity of food(which others might consider small) always satisfy me very well! i think that's my own body food proportion requirement!

but of recent, like 3months now! I notice and feel my body temp is a lil higher!

I really don't like how 'weight less' I look now..me wey slim before! I'm now skinny!
have used wate-on, used blood tonic die still nothing! one thing I noticed tho is, some time I feel my neck bone region get back to 'being close' to normal..(normal as in before!) the next month, it drops again! --- iyaf taya me!
stop self medication and see a doc.. I'm tight up here but will be seeing a doc soon
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by quivah(f): 5:38pm On Jan 14, 2015
@Lomaxx
concerning ijinlove20 issue which I said I'm also experiencing..
I realised you talked about 'stooling'

I'm not a regular stooler(don't mind my word) nor a regular farter: D lol
I mean if I observe well, most times I stay days without the urge to poo or even mess..na that mess dey tale passundecided I can stay a week without farting!! in fact I can't remember the last time I messedundecided I swear its more than a week now!
while pooing, i can say I stay 2/3 days without pooing..

note: the poo-ing interval isnt always.. but mostly.. I.e in one week I might poo 3ce (maybe once a day or twice) and in the next 3weeks, I might poo just once! or twice per week.. it could be once a day or two tho.. mathematically; on 3wks ; I stool like 4-6
on a week; I stool like 6-8(depending on d no of times I stool in a day within those weeks tho) >>which rarely happens.. so leme just say within the range of 3-8 times
hope I explained well!

this didn't just start o.. as far as I can remember, its been way back!

PS; in fact I can say I don't fart at all(tho I know I do) but I can't remember when last I did but I know its rarely.. on a scale of 100, I put it at 25-30

and the one week one , 3 wks off is not simultaneous o . I'm more on the 'off' side

Lol. Thanks for your response. I just want to add weight to feel more comfy with how I look. I have been slim from the onset, and genetically we have the tendency to be slim and I've noticed also that I might have a high metabolism because I get hungry quite often even after large meals n what not.
Dunno.. If you can PLEASE recommend specific food items that might help add a couple of pounds here and there.
PS: I am 26.. 6'0 in height and weigh 63kg (at last check) hope this paints a better picture of my dilemma.
Thanks in advance
