If a man could read a woman like a book, then the world would be a peaceful and harmonious place to live in. Woe on the man who do not have the aptitude or the talent to understand a woman. Women, in general have been sending out mixed signals for the longest time and a science (of some sort) has developed in the study of body language in general.

Of course everyone could recognize the six universal facial expressions: Happiness; Sadness; Fear; Disgust; Surprise and Anger. But can a man honestly say that he can recognize a girl's body language? Here are some common body languages of a woman that are worth knowing.

Eye contact.
A girl might look at your fleetingly, take her eyes off you and then returns her look this time for a longer period. If this happens the girl might have liked what she saw thus her second glance. If a girl repeatedly casts her eyes on you, then it's time to approach her.

Preening
Preening means beautifying oneself. This act could be exhibited by tossing of the hair, batting of eyes, wetting lips, combing hair with fingers, straightening up clothes and related little actions. When you see this occurrence, do your thing and preen too before you introduce yourself to the girl.

Displaying attractive body parts.
Girls have the tendency to display their busts, butts, legs and necks. What they do is thrust it forward, wiggle it, show it or elongate it. When you notice a girl preening while showing off her long and beautiful legs, prepare to introduce yourself.

Subtle pointing
When a girl subtly points at you using her lips or her eyes or her toes or her elbow or her head, then get ready for action. The girl is practically telling you that she is interested in you.

Leaning towards you
If a girl leans towards you that means that she wants to be close to you or to be with you. She is also trying to assess your take on the matter by looking if you will also lean towards her.

Looking down left
This means that the girl is talking to herself while trying to figure you out. The assessment is real for her.

Looking at you but seemed glazed.
This could only mean one thing. You are boring the poor girl to death but she is too polite to leave you.
