airminem: Because it uses rotors? What does the Apache combat helicopter use? Jet engines? An aircraft like a helio or a Super Mushak has several advantages over say an F16 jet. When facing lightly armed insurgents they can loiter over targets and use cannons and air- surface rockets with devastating accuracy. It has decent avionics including friend or foe transponders. A top speed of almost 300 km/h and packs six hard points on each wing for rocket, missile and cannon weaponry. This is an astute multi role purchase and together with the MI attack helicopters and the 4th Gen J17 fighter jets this is the best weapons acquisition program for the NAF since President Shagari. The NAF is not set up to fight China or America it is set up for counter insurgence and any attacks from neighbouring countries or international piracy. Let's be realistic. This is not computer gaming. NAF is stronger than at any time since independence. 6 Likes |

airminem:My sister, I just skipped the introductory words at the beginning of the thread and went straight to look at pictures. After seeing the singe propeller powered engine, I had to scroll up to check out the topic of the thread again. I was expecting a turbine powered engine. It had better be for reconnaissance survey purpose (eventhough I think a drone is more cost effective) . And by the was if they need training aircrafts, I feel the Diamond aircrafts ( the likes of DA-40 and DA-42) would be cost effective on the long run All is well. 1 Like |

jpphilips: Who doesn't know this plane will be used in combat in the NE in the coming days ..that's how we bought Alphas as primary jet trainers in the 80s and they turned raptors for our Airforce..if the Govt wanted a trainer they would have bought the MFI 17 Mushshak and not the Super Mushak which cost a lot more than the primary light trainer MFI 17 |

CXLVII: Looooool. Don't start before you are driven away from your sahel arid region to Niger and Chad Republics. Biafrans have the capacity to manufacture jet fighters and bombers in hundreds per annum, while you must depend on Almajiri Taxes to buy jet fighters and bombers from Muslim countries to defend failed one Nigeria because of crude oil proceeds from the Nigerdelta. 1 Like |

greenpasture: Nigerians are the enemies which Buhari is acquiring weapons to kill. Boko Haram, IPOB, Avengers, MASSOB, name them, they are Nigerians. They are indirectly asking for one political reforms or the other, else they fight or protest to pull out of Nigeria. Dalogue, Political Reforms and Referendum are employed in normal countries to resolve issues, NEVER through use of killing machines. Buhari north singlehandedly restructured Nigeria politically and supervised the constitution of Nigeria, and in the process made south of Nigeria become like mere attachments to Nigeria of northern Nigeria. We can no longer amend the relevant sections of the constitution to entrench equity in Nigeria's political process. Through the rigged political structure, politicians from Buhari north largely determine who must rule Nigeria and what can be anywhere in Nigeria through north's political over-representation drawn from north 's undue large number of twenty states which northern soldiers littered everywhere in the old northern region . Buhari has no sense of History other than that he trecked 12 Miles during the war to keep One Nigeria, as well as remembering others how many millions that died during the civil war, as if that can deter separatists. The more arms Buhari acquires to kill Nigerians, the more disintegration of Nigeria stares us on the face. 2 Likes |
