My problem with Nigeria is how shallow we perceive problems, these weapons are paraded on TV yet we don't know who sent the weapons, who is receiving them and for what purpose. Zero investigation zero intelligence, the perpetrators will only look for other methods next time. Security is not about arms or weapons, it about information gathering to make concrete decisions.

I'm guessing the importer intended to use these weapons for his personal protection knowing fully well how violent robbery and kidnapping thrive in Nigeria. He might have tried to import them illegally, but he has a point if they are for personal protection.
