Igbo World Union (IWU) has condemned the agitation for Biafra, commended President Muhammadu Buhari, claimed his administration is the best thing to have happened to Igbo people.

Speaking at Gburugburu Ndi Igbo III Dum’s compound at Umuajata-Olokoro in Umuahia South local government area of Abia state, during the Ofala festival, Mishak Nnanta, the initiator and founder of Igbo World Union, called on the Igbos to wake up from their slumber and take their rightful place in the country.

Nnanta also charged governors from the South-East not to play politics with the development of the region.

He called on Igbo people to join hands with Nigerian leaders in moving the country forward.
He said: “Igbo are yet to reach their eldorado, even though we are the first son of Nigeria. Our problems is in our hands. We should shun disintegration. We should move and sue for unity. If we insist we want to leave this country, who do we leave Nigeria for?”

On the decline of Igbo culture and language, he noted: “Ethics of good moral conduct and decent dressing have been thrown into the dustbin, only to imbibe foreign cultures of near naked dressing.

“IWU as a sociocultural organisation upholding and championing the preservation and promotion of Igbo ethics and culture is bent on reversing these negative trends through the revival of our ethics, language, and cultural heritages, so that future generations will have a lingual, ethical and cultural database reference to fall back on,” he said.

He further said that “IWU aims to showcase Ndigbo, her customs, cultural heritage and the Igbo people’s legendary hospitality to the world with a grand view of re-positioning Ndigbo and Nigeria through same by attracting dignitaries and investors from around the globe, thereby opening a whole new vista for Ndigbo and Nigeria.”

What this simply means is that more and more Igbo are speaking out against the propaganda of a few who are misled by some self-centered group of people to commercialize the concept of a Biafra country that is obsolete.

Ndigbo deserves to be at the highest pinnacle of political leadership in Nigeria not because they're better than everyone else but because justice demands it and the actualising that is just around the corner but this misguided and selfish group of people wants to rekindle the suspicions that has been the clog in the advancement of the Ndigbo in Nigeria through this vague secessionists agenda and thereby taking the Ndigbo backwards to a forgotten era.

Every well meaning Ndigbo should rise up and resist this because to keep silent is to trade your destiny for the monetary gain and self glory of a few who has only their own interest at heart.

Igbo kwenu! Long live Ndigbo!! Long live Nigeria!!!

Any condemnation of Biafra, in any quarters, is a condemnation of Nnamdi Kanu.

Kanu should tell Justice Binta Nyako he is sorry and ask forgiveness of Nigerians and go home.

One Nigeria is for all Nigerians. It's not for Buhari. And definitely not for Kanu. It's for all of us including Buhari and Ksnu. So The Legislature must work out a system that will satisfy every tribe in Nigeria.

We must reverse the evil amalgamation of 1914 which has gone on to cost the Igbo nation over 3 million souls. Nigeria must be de-amalgamated!
