Jamme should go into history and see what happened to despotic african rulers like mobutu sese seko...my fear is that the president elect maybe disallowed from reentering Gambia on or before the sworn in day

Yahya Jammeh's refusal to relinquish power to Adama Barrow (A traitor & an Amerikan Stooge) was hinged on 1 thing only.

Gambia's Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) was manipulated by Amerika into falsely declaring Adama Barrow as the winner of the elections.

IEC had caused confusion by declaring 2 different results with the original margin of victory by Adama Barrow being 35,000 votes over Yahya Jammeh.

IEC later revised the result “on the same day” and still declared Adama Barrow the winner but narrowing down his lead by 19,000 votes out of over 800,000 registered voters.

This was what raised the red flag over the IEC’s counting competence, hence Jammeh's refusal to concede defeat.

For this reason, I stand by Jammeh for rejecting the election results.

Buhari & the Senegalese President (Macky Sall) can both swear-in Adama Barrow into their respective state houses if they like.

Perhaps, since the white house is still vacant, they can just do the needful by transferring Adama Barrow to Washington - their cup of tea! grin

dumb ass blaming america in gambia. Gambia is of no significance even in west africa and everything is on jahmeeh head he does want to leave after 22 years.

Even obama dont want to leave as u see he is crying everday but he cannot stay becos that is signing his death warrant.

Please stop this childish Goodluck nonsense. He dared not tried it then, his would have been worst than anything. Majority of Nigerian were tired of him then and wanted him out even by force if possible
Shatap. If he was greedy and wanted to stay he'll have made every preparation needed and the worst that can happen is what happened in Libya. How is Nigeria different from other countries that this thing happened? Just thank God he was humble enough to hand over peacefully and thats all.

If it was different Era in history Gambia would have been taken over by senegal. A weak country surrounded in every direction. They might as well unify will Senegal.

I still respect Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for his on the marble statement " My political ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian ". What a Statesman!
My advice to Adama Barrow : Please don't force yourself on Gambians. It can only lead to bloodshed. INSIST that the incumbent president conducts another election as soon as possible under the STRICT supervision of the ECOWAS, AU and the UNO ( making it impossible for anyone to rig ). I assure you, if Gambians really want you as their president, there is nothing the incumbent can do about it.
By this you would have proved that you sincerely want to serve Gambia and not Gambia to serve you.

You Can't Declare Two Results From One Election And Expect Someone In The Mold Of Jammeh To Be Shoved About. Everyone Can't/Won't Play The GEJ Humility To Look Good.

The same ECOWAS / Court of which Buhari is signatory to is the same court that ordered the release of Dasuki but Buhari refused . This is the same body Buhari is using to peruse the stepping down of Gambia's president.

Hypocrisy!

I think Jammeh is running from nemesis but it is too late...the plot against his Govt is thicker than what he can curtail or maneurvre .Jammeh must go is now the song in the mouth of many Africans .He should stop bastardizing the image of the continent.

Good. He needs to be protected until things are cleared up.
This is politics ,they have just given that barrow political asylum and that is the end of the matter ,what this means is that he is now on exile. The next thing will be the imposition of sanctions on jammeh and Gambia . Ecowas presidents have tactically and cleverly shifted the issue off their necks and each president is back to his country to face their national domestic problems
that is the worst that can happen in this case.

Hmmm. That would be sad if Barrow does not eventually claim his mandate. Anyway, let's watch and see.

Once he settles down in Senegal ,that is the end of the issue. Ecowas can only send troops into Gambia is there is a war going on ,then they can use the excuse of enforcing peace . But right now there is no war going on. The matter is already in court and it will be there for a very long time. There are 3 options open to barrow, one is to start a rebel movement, second is to go back to Gambia and slug it out in court with jammeh or contest again and the last option is to forget the issue

To you it is childish, but would not have been childish to you if he refused to hand over as Jammeh is doing currently in Gambia and throw the nation into untold crises.
