Naturally, African nations have always had this respect for Nigeria, so they probably thought we were big enough to handle our politics on our own. If the crisis had deteriorated to a civil way, maybe they would have Intervened. Besides even if a war happened in Nigeria, it would take immense resources; a large army, equipments and determination for any external non-military super power to suceed.
