Now this is a political driven protest. I don't buy it. The istandwithnigeria protest gave weeks notice, yet no one addressed them. The NLC protest sprung up overnight and the VP, Senate president and Co have "TIME" to address them. Eranu people 33 Likes 1 Share |

Hope they remembered to tell the thieves they constitute a major drain on the country's resources. Meanwhille, where the protesters stand today was the same spot democrat jonathan sent his police to teargas the ex speaker of the house of reps, Tambuwal, and other members of the House of Reps when they dared to exercise their freedom of association. What a hero of democracy he was. 15 Likes 2 Shares

this is just the beginning! many more protests lie in wait! the lion in Nigerians just got awakened. because they have no positive economic agenda for the country, they envisaged lots of protest and bashing, in order to put a check to these, they did shoot at and killed lot of protesters in time past, that didnt deter men. they tried to gag our social media mouth, that failed too! now the masses are out in full flow..... this is just the beginning 11 Likes |

From the images the OP posted, if that's the cross-section of Nigerians, then the number is too infinitesimal. The protesters can be said to be jokers |

Buhari wants to set up an anti-corruption court and the bill called the Special Criminal Courts Act has been submitted to the NASS (National Assembly) since last year, but they have refused to pass it into law. The same thing is happening to the Whistle Blowers Protection Act meant to protect whistleblowers from injury, death, economic sabotage, and job termination. The Senate told the government point blank that they will not pass the Anti-Money Laundering Act into law. The bill has been with the Senate since 2015. If corruption is not tackled and the judiciary is not re-organized to tackle corruption, how will Nigeria leave the developing country status and become a DEVELOPED NATION? Most of the funds recovered cannot be accessed until the cases are concluded at the Supreme Court. We are talking about N2 trillion potentially that the government cannot touch until final judgment at the Supreme Court. That is why passage of the Anti-corruption courts legislation is critical to accessing these funds because cases at the trial court level will be concluded more expeditiously. Now this same NASS is asking for 2.3% of get this, ALL FEDERAL ALLOCATION, for "constituency project". Didn't we embark on the wrong protest yesterday after all? Can we now see the true enemies of Nigeria? There is a perception deficit. Many people cannot even hear what the administration is saying because a dangerous narrative is being sold to people that Buhari caused the recession (the recession which since 2014 Madam NOI, awa 1st rate economist, has warned us will happen) If this perception deficit is not corrected, Buhari will not be able to get the support he needs to get his programs through, especially the ones that need enabling laws from the NASS. To worsen the situation he's proposing an increment in Minimum wage, that shows how dump our leaders are. in fact when I listen to Obama I realized how long we still have to go as a nation. Worst of it they went for recess in this recession period, that's shows they don't care at all, let Saraki also approve the economic bill sent to him last year October and charge his other SINator to discharge their supervisory responsibility of each ministry diligently. With a working National Assembly a dullard as a president can be pushed to work. 1 Like |

The Senate President and the leadership of the National Assembly should review downwards their wages and allowances to reflect the economic realities of the day to start with. Thereafter, the Senate President should institute an amendment to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that reduces the National Assembly to only one arm and ensures only one Senator represents a State. Let all those polithiprenuers go and find work to do. Don't trust this SP, he doesn't mean well. 1 Like |
